ALL the forums are blowing up over this with everyone thinking it is real, which I imagine is what Alex wanted, even though he knows its FAKE.

This truly sucks. Anti-War was just threatened with a suit by NPR's Guy Roz over a satirical article. Conterpunch pissed me off to no end with the fake Senor story from years ago and there's the Pakistani paper that picked an Onion story about the moon and Armstrong, oh and the film about Kubrick faking the moon featuring a lot of heavy hitters. Ha fuking Ha.

I don't think it's funny no more.

I agree in terms of pure facts and accuracy, but LC2E was (unintentionally perhaps) also a catalyst and motivator for people to talk and act about 9/11. IMHO they dreadfully mismanaged the huge momentum they had created.

Here is EXACTLY how they did it, the time stamps on the comments even prove it.

FIRST they posted the 20 minutes with the President piece WITH NO DISCLAIMER that it was FAKE.

Then they added the DISCLAIMER a bit later after everyone spread this around the net as if it were REAL.

Then even later, he finally posted a STORY indicating that it was not real but was in fact a letter Sheen sent to the President in an attempt to get a meeting with him.

Good on Sheen, I guess, because it's bad for his career to be associated with 9-11 so it takes some courage, or it did... a long time ago when HE ALREADY DID THIS.

Personally I wouldn't get anyone other than a scientist to go after evidence and no one less than a professional investigative historian to go after the other 9-11 stuff and Sheen is neither.

Personally I wouldn't get anyone other than a scientist to go after evidence and no one less than a professional investigative historian to go after the other 9-11 stuff and Sheen is neither.

If Sheen ever got close enough to 9-11 truth to make a real difference he would be discredited easily, he is an admitted coke head, alcoholic and adulterer who has slept many prostitutes and been busted for such several times.

Not that I care about those things, I do not, but that stuff would easily be used to make him look like a nutob.

After you posted it was untrue, initially I laughed - there is a real lesson in caution here for myself. Now, I feel 'duped'. The Alex Jones Brand has lost about 70% of my goodwill in one day.

This may all have an interesting ending but this deception is so bad that now I don't even want to post a good one by Nimmo if it comes from infowars. Was this Sheen's idea? I wonder.

No I don't have any ideas who has the compassion and the humility to satisfy the brilliant mind criteria. I think lots of people do on occasion but not consistently. Maybe some religious leaders. I need to think about that.

I think the ending of that "open letter" (thanks Percival for clearing up the publication timeline, that explains the silly format, further discredited by the overbearing, dare I say camp style of the "script") says all one really needs to know about the whole deal:

Relative to the pre-hype, what a let down. Listening to AJ now, he seldom notes the "fictional" aspect, and basically says this is a PR stunt, readers who read the "interview" are given the basic 20-points overview, yada yada. AJ promising more "developments" this week. I cringe to imagine. This isn't objectivism, this ploy is fodder for jokes. It'll be interesting to see if, and how, MSM reports this. Now AJ's saying, this is like a poison pill, when the media bites the worm, they get the hook, pfff.
