"Uncertain"! He doesn't know whether it even exists! (Has he not asked?) He's only the Orlando Police Chief. He is finding it difficult to follow the script.

Who can blame him for his confusion? They're making it up as they go along. (That footage must be in the sweaty hands of the Feds, or in an incinerator already.)

Look at the state of this yarn. Is it any wonder the Washington Post is already hurrying to stamp out "conspiracy theories"?

So, that article was written on the 16th, and the Chiefs quote was made the morning after the massacre- before the security cameras were taken down or viewed, So it is a perfectly fair statement that has been misrepresented.

Words become things.

Here's the thing. I just woke up. I haven't even read the FUCKING "transcript" yet.

But here is my prediction. Either the transcript is a transcript of somebody other than Mateen calling 911 or else Mateen was a player in a shadow government plot who got played or both.

It's the same story every time. If you are even marginally Muslim, the feds seemingly have all the time and the money in world to set you up. If you suffer from some sort of mental illness, you go to the front of the list.

If you can't fathom this by now, your shirt is too brown.

Not so much a "prediction" as a conviction that will be confirmed to you no matter what. If people aren't as unwaveringly pre-convinced as you it doesn't mean they're less able or less willing to fathom depths and it doesn't mean they're fascists. You might just not be right. Not a notion that probably occurs to you much or ever, right?

You know, it's funny how you and your type here alternate between Certainty is Fascist! and Skepticism is Fascist!, depending on whether what we're certain of or skeptical of matches your groupthink enough.

1. You don't know what groupthink is.

2. You believe US-born Muslims are uniquely predisposed to mass murder not because of any rational evidence but because of groupthink, the very groupthink I am trying to fight a very lonely and completely asymmetrical battle against.

3. Your groupthink is the exact kind of groupthink that led to the Japanese concentration camps in WWII.

4. I am just playing Henry Fonda's role in 12 Angry Men. I am not certain of anything except that people who believe "the other" is uniquely evil just because the corporate media and the waterboys of our oligarchy tell them to have always frightened the living crap out of me.

Mateen may indeed be a guilty deranged mass shooter who acted alone. He was American born and bred after all, and we put the rest of the world to shame when it comes to breeding mass shooters. But if you first claim to be a member of Hezbollah and then you pledge your allegiance to ISIS, your Muslim terrorist card gets revoked, and you become just another run of the mill American rampage killer. Wouldn't you agree?

Really? Do you know all this or are you just surmising it? Link? Citation? I've just spent several minutes searching for Mina's interview in vain. The WaPo quotes him (see above), says only that he said this "earlier", and provides no link.

And does Orlando Police Chief John Mina now at last know whether any surveillance footage from Pulse exists? Nine days on, I think we should be told.

It's bullshit in any case. The police have their routines and their protocols. Securing and viewing the video footage would be among their very first priorities after entering the building and arresting or killing the shooter(s).

I am sure the Chief is aware of the existence of the footage as the Feds are reviewing it right now. I don't have his number or I would ask him.

And that is exactly what they did. Mac, you haven't been really accepting of other links provided so try to find the things you say you want to see and break through your confirmation bias.
This information is out there.

So, contrary to what you claimed, Burnt Hill, you do not in fact know when Mina said what he said.

Good to get that at least cleared up.

Jeff Solheim, a nurse and CEO of emergency nursing company Solheim Enterprises, had recently visited Mercy Medical Center, where the Oregon shooting victims were taken on Thursday.

"You hear about these shootings on TV, and it's in Virginia. It's in Aurora. And when it happens to the hospital you were just at, and the staff you worked with ... and you think, that could be us!" he said. "It makes it so freaking personal when it happens to the people you know," he said with tears in his eyes.

"Until we figure out what the solution to the problem is, this is just life for us now," said Solheim.

LOL at our crisis actor CEO who is crying all the way to the bank.

More than 150 local volunteer actors will be the injured.

No I am sticking with it having been said the next morning, if it was said at all. Even relying on the WaPo, its the only thing that makes sense.

Hmmm...and there were supposed to be multiple calls where he pledged other allegiances (?)
(Mateen) had proclaimed allegiance to Baghdadi in multiple 911 calls during the attack. He also named the San Bernardino killers — who had posted a Facebook allegiance to the IS— and the Boston marathon bombers as his inspiration in those calls, according to the FBI

It is noticeably similar to an alleged FB post:
On June 12, shooter Omar Mateen searched the social network for “Pulse Orlando” and “Shooting”, according to a letter to Facebook from the US Senate committee on homeland security.
“America and Russia stop bombing the Islamic state.. I pledge my alliance to abu bakr al Baghdadi.. may Allah accept me,” the shooter said in a post, according to the letter.
Then this: “The real muslims will never accept the filthy ways of the west” and “You kill innocent women and children by doing us airstrikes.. now taste the Islamic state vengeance.”
