I do wonder how my pro-Romney quotient is as high as 2%. What the hell do I agree with him on? 1 in 50 issues, really?

Damn, Jack. You beat me. Here I was all proud of my 4% for Rmoney. And yeah, I was struck by that aspect as well. I think it was where we put one of our fuzzy "somewhats" and "mosts" or chose an alternate answer.

This is what you're talking about when you're talking about public debt:

add on the other $900 billion of Fed held mortgage securities,

I don't see how "other" could mean anything besides "Freddie Mac & Fannie Mae," rather than the privately securitized Wall Street bullshit that the context implies. But I can't figure out exactly where that figure comes from. So I'd welcome elaboration and/or correction.

ON EDIT: We're now up to my girlfriend, her sister, her female boss, and our friend Laura. All registered democrats in Pennsylvania, all women, all purged from the voter rolls, all will have to vote provisionally tomorrow. Does anyone else know any women in Pennsylvania who do not show up "active" here:

I'm with Ice Cube.

Btw, I LOVED the cold opening of the new Simpsons episode. Pokes fun at Tea Party poll watchers, voter ID laws, vote rigging, etc

I'll keep you posted. In my girlfriend's case, at least, I'm 100% positive that nothing about her status has changed from her last vote until today. Her sister's status was listed as "cancelled" in the state database. There's a chance that our other two friends could have made a mistake, but both swear they haven't.

Yeah, please do keep us posted.

I tried to do the early voting last week a couple of times but the lines were stretching hundreds deep. The wait was only ~45 minutes but I couldn't hang around that long. I'll be voting in the usual spot tomorrow night; hope I'm still in the rolls!

Whoa, that's some serious purging! :mad2 Since they're Dems why not call the BO hotline:

For questions about voting please call our Voter Protection Hotline at: 1-800-311-VOTE (8683)

No telling what will happen to provisional ballots.

We have a really strong watchdog group here that get a lot of respect from me, the Committee of Seventy, and they've all called their hotline, which instructed them on the provisional ballot. Any state party line was down / busy / not answering.

There's still a lot of confusion in communities here on the Voter ID law; I had a friend canvassing yesterday who said most older, poor voters didn't know that it was struck down in PA.
