I dunno about Canada, but I have heard there may be reason to suspect some sort of LIHOP (sorry) in relation to the Air India bombings.
Dunno if that qualifies.
In Australia we tend to think the bali bombing happened just to us, but it may well have been ... sus at the least. At least according to a former Indonesian president interviewed on Australian television network sbs.
But the best case of what was in all likelihood a false flag attack, in effect if not in intention, is the bombing at the Hilton Hotel in Sydney, in Feb 1978, the location of the Commonwealth Heads of Government meeting.
It was claimed that Ananda Marga, the Indian sect were responsible, mainly on the word of the Indian government. 3 Ananda Marga members were eventually arrested (1989), and two were released within a year after the cases against them basically fell apart. One was arrested after a confession so he wasn't released.
3 people were killed, two garbologists who were killed instantly after a bomb in a bin they just emptied exploded. One cop was badly injured and died later, another survived.
He ended up coming to the conclusion that ASIO was behind the explosion and they had faked a bomb in order to justify their own existence. He felt they meant for the bomb to be found before it was due to explode, but it was a bit of a fuck up.
