You have my vote, except that you would actually have to follow the rules. It sort of comes with the title and that seems to neuter members when they become mods.

Dude done needed a break. I could never be a mod here for a bunch of reasons, including:

1. *Everyone* in this joint can out-think and out-research me.

2. My non-virtual life has a massive noise-to-signal ratio as it is. I've thought about going into air traffic control just to relax things a bit.

I know JR started this thread in jest, but seriously, aren't we in need of a couple of new mods? There are now effectively only two, and one of them is very busy. I couldn't do it, but there must be some neutral posters equipped with attention to detail around.

I say we outsource to a overseas firm for around the clock moderation at a reasonable price.

there are companies that do "forum moderation" for profit. IF someone were interested in pursuing such a career option (it is work from home usually I think), they could get some bonus for their resume I guess.
