The celebrity lawyer and professor subsequently issued an adamant public denial, saying the case "is all about money" and "completely made up."
He went further in his court filings, including a sworn affidavit in which he said "lawyers for Jane Doe #3 ... leveled totally false and outrageous charges against me that have been reported around the world and threaten to damage my reputation irrevocably."
"Never under any circumstance have I ever had any sexual contact of any kind, which includes massages or any physical contact whatsoever, with Jane Doe #3," he added.
Dershowitz said, for instance, that his wife and daughter accompanied him on his sole visit to Epstein's Caribbean island as well as the one time he went to Epstein's New Mexico house -- at which point it was under construction and no girls were visible.
"Let me assert categorically, without reservation and with full awareness of the risks of perjury," he stated, "that I did not ever, under any circumstances, have any sexual contact of any kind with Jane Doe #3."

Was Lewis Carroll a Pedophile? His Photographs Suggest So

This year marks the 150th anniversary of Lewis Carroll's masterpiece, the wildly imaginative book Alice's Adventures in Wonderland (1865). But the recent discovery of a shocking image within his photograph collection has upstaged the celebrations, suggesting that the English author's interest in children might not have been so innocent after all.
Tomorrow, BBC will broadcast a controversial new documentary entitled The Secret World of Lewis Carroll, in which it will be revealed that Carroll—a photographer as well as a fiction writer and mathematician—took countless pictures of young girls in his lifetime. In most of the images, the children are dressed, but there are others in which they are naked.
Carroll—whose real name was Charles Lutwidge Dodgson—set up a photography studio in his rooms at Oxford, where he was a mathematics lecturer. There, he took self-portraits and portraits of famous artists of the era like Dante Gabriel Rossetti. But photographs of children dominate his production, and amongst the most troublesome pictures, there's one that unnerved the BBC experts particularly.
It is an image of a pubescent girl called Lorina Liddell in the nude in a full-frontal pose, described in the documentary as an image that “no parent would ever have consented to," the Telegraph reports. The controversial photograph was found in a French museum, with a note on the frame attributing it Carroll.
Lorina was the elder sister of Alice Liddell, the little girl who inspired the famous Alice character. Carroll befriended the Liddell family, and became infatuated with the couple's daughters: Lorina, Edith, and, especially, Alice. In the BBC documentary, the literature Professor Hugh Haughton says that Carroll's relationship with the Liddell girls was known to have a “huge intensity" which would seem “pretty strange now."
“My understanding is that he was in love with Alice, but he was so repressed that he never would have transgressed any boundaries," says Vanessa Tait, great-granddaughter of Alice Liddell, in the documentary. She adds that the explicit photograph may explain the rift that made Carroll break contact with the Liddell girls in 1863, when Alice was 11 years old. Crucially, Carroll's diaries from April 1858 to May 1862, a period which coincides with his friendship with the Liddell girls, are missing.
Speaking in the documentary, the acclaimed writer Will Self doesn't mince words: “I think, [Carroll] was a heavily repressed pedophile, without doubt. It's a problem, isn't it, when somebody writes a great book but they're not a great person."
But not everyone agrees with Self. A new biography, Lewis Carroll, The Man and His Circle by Edward Wakeling (2015), presents Carroll as a respectable member of society, with friends in high places. Yet, as Elizabeth Winkle writing for the New Republic ponders: “Is it possible that history has misread his collection of photographs and his relationship with Alice? Yes. Is it possible that he was amiable but also a pedophile? Yes."
Although the details about Carroll's relationship with children in general, and with the Liddell girls in particular, might never be known, the evidence that he had a somewhat unhealthy obsession with minors seems overwhelming. “It's sad that that's the thing everyone is going to want to know, especially in the year of the anniversary of the book," says Tait in the documentary.
Scott Ritter paroled in online sex case
Former U.N. weapons inspector imprisoned for contact with minor

Albany
Scott Ritter, the former United Nations weapons inspector who was arrested and imprisoned for unlawful contact with a minor, has returned to Bethlehem.
Ritter was paroled from state prison in Pennsylvania in September. A call to his home wasn't returned on Thursday.
A vocal critic of the 2003 invasion of Iraq, Ritter has resumed his trenchant writing on U.S. policy in the Middle East: He has authored at least three online articles for Huffington Post since October, including one warning that the creation of a U.S.-backed "Free Syrian Army" represents a "figment of American creative thinking."
Ritter, 53, was an intelligence officer in the Marine Corps and then a weapons inspector for the U.N.
Upon leaving the U.N., he criticized the organization for not enforcing disarmament in Iraq after the 1991 Gulf War.
But as the U.S. was preparing to invade in 2003, Ritter gained prominence for his contention that the country had no real weapons of mass destruction.
Later the same year, Ritter made headlines when news surfaced that he had been caught in a police sting in 2001.
Police said that he had tried to lure a 16-year-old girl — actually a Colonie undercover officer posing online — to a Burger King in Menands. That case was later adjourned in contemplation of dismissal — essentially dropped — and the record was sealed. At the time, Ritter suggested that the case was a smear campaign designed to silence him.
Less than a decade after that arrest, Ritter found himself in similar legal trouble.
He was convicted in 2011 in Monroe County, Pa., after Barrett Township police presented evidence that in 2009 he had masturbated in front of a webcam being viewed by an undercover officer who was posing as a 15-year-old girl.
Ritter reportedly went by the handle "delmarm4fun."
Though the case dragged on — a New York appellate division court at one point ruled that some of the evidence was inadmissible — Ritter was convicted on six counts, including felony unlawful contact with a minor. Sentenced to up to five and half years, he was sent to Laurel Highlands state prison in Somerset County, Pa., in March 2012.
Records show that the Pennsylvania parole board in June concluded Ritter had demonstrated positive behavior; had a "motivation for success" and had completed the programs needed for release.
Under the terms of his parole, Ritter can't possess weapons, must refrain from alcohol, and has agreed to drug testing and "outpatient sex offender treatment."
He can't have contact with anyone younger than 18 without approval from parole officials.
