Who the Frak are YOU: The RI Membership Directory

Postby elfismiles » Tue Sep 29, 2009 10:19 am

Alright, I've tried before to "get to know" folks via the Memberlist but that is filled with spambots and folks who either never post or are no longer around.

Some of you have been so kind as to actually include a link to your blog or website. But many folks who have such haven't posted links though sometimes that info comes up in discussions.

This thread will probably die a miserable horrible death; like most humans on this planet I'd bet. Oh well... maybe it'll get some traction and prove me wrong.

I rap! I love my own voice! I write constantly!

I've already got a dozen people who (try to) threaten and harass me over Skilluminati material, so I'm happy to stick my face out there.

Used to write for:

http://www.skilluminati.com

Left caring about the world to you losers (LULZ!) and now I focus on hip hop as a business, which nobody here cares about:

On a more serious note, eternally grateful to everyone on this forum for keeping my awareness fed without the pain of active research.

This should be interesting.

I think these two sites should be more than enough to convince people I exist, and have existed for quite some time:

Action Squad: http://www.actionsquad.org
(my web 1.0 urban exploration website)

Teapots Happen: http://teapotshappen.wordpress.com/about
(my synchronicity blog, more of a personal project than anything)

(and that I am in fact not 'Professor Pan,' as certain screennames - who are highly unlikely to appear in this thread - have loved to imply)

Loads of personal info in the second, and a web presence dating back almost a decade in the first (albeit somewhat 'in character').

I don't exist, I'm just a figment of everyone's imagination.

I don't think people who choose not to post here are any less trustworthy than those who do. I guess a bit of context never killed anyone though.

My first name's Francois, I'm 30, I'm South African, I'm living in Casablanca at the moment and getting ready to move back to the most beautiful city in the world in March. I blogged for half a week (apparently that happens a lot, ha), but if all pans out roughly according to plan I'll be doing a lot more of that next year.

Yes, about that, why don't you any more? I loved your work.

I'm not very active in here, mainly because I'm not particularly bright. But I sure do enjoy getting my horizons expanded from reading the posts in these fora.

I'm essentially a dumb old farmer. But I've always had a tendency towards considering things from other angles than what passes for the "official" story...

I've had some odd experiences down through the decades, enough for me to think that there's more to it than simple materialism...

Huh - thanks for your links Wombaticus - I've been checking you out on Youtube this morning (can't download mp3s at work) - and so far I actually really like it, and I am a picky fucker with hiphop ...

Growing up I was a hater of rap and hiphop, but in recent years discovered some stuff that really worked for me ... however, I've been having a hard time finding many artists beyond Blackalicious who discuss reality/spirituality in a way that appeals to me ... (also some Binary Star, Blues Scholars, etc ... but the local Twin Cities music scene has a lot of talented groups but lyrically, they are unenlightening, a lot of posturing and hip phrase-making without substance IMO).

interesting that you're from Vermont ... your sound feels west coast/Bay area/Seattleish to me, but as I said, I'm kinda a n00b to hiphop. Hmm, maybe Vermont and the Bay are both similar in some ways though.

I'll be checking more of your stuff out - and if you have recommendations of other artists, I'd love to hear them.

I'm a person who has ben digging into conspiracies for a long, long time now. Through that process i"ve gone through many changes- don't really believe many of the things I once took seriously, other things are newer to me, but important.

I don't have any blog or website, though in the past I have done various things on radio and a few print projects. I'm now living in the Big Apple- but spent most of the last many, many years in the Western United States- San Francisco, Tucson, Washington State.

So- maybe I exist even though my personal posts are very sporadic here...

I am a space alien from another planet that incarnates in this medium in order to read the articles that American Dream posts. I also enjoy contacting earthlings that are equipped for interplanetary communication.

The MIB already know my secret identity, which is revealed in my sig link to the page for the book I wrote. (Published, incidentally, by the same guy who published Jeff's book.)

I'm not sure there's anything anybody could post online that would convince me that I "knew" them and could "trust" them.

A picture of you and a link to your web site(s) doesn't mean you aren't up to no good. In reality, some who couldn't (or wouldn't) provide much documentation at all are in fact eminently trustworthy and some who could provide extensive "proof" could well be up to all kinds of shenanigans. SMiles, what happened to your sig line "'Trust No One' ... especially people you only 'know' from online"? You were right and no amount of pics and links can change that.

Think about it. Paulette Cooper had her close friend, neighbor and confidant Jerry Levin. She cried on his shoulder about being harassed by C0$ and he reported back every word of it to the Guardian's Office. Dorothy Kilgallen had Ron Pataki, her lover and trusted friend. They spoke every day and met whenever they could. And he may well have killed her on behalf of those who did not want her JFK book published.

But I should trust you because of a posting on the interwebs?? Sorry -- I don't think so.

Now granted, I'm not an investigative journalist breaking any big stories. And you're probably not a spook trying to kill me. But that still doesn't mean you aren't up to no good. Smiling faces and all that. If it's all the same to you, I will continue to treat the dreams and vapors I meet online with a healthy dose of skepticism and caution.

I am not really interested in being personable with folks online, I am here to discuss and debate and thats about the extent of it.

I am who I say I am, funny, that. Never used a pseudonym online. Mom, small time organic farmer (nice tractor, btw, but wouldn't work on the mountain!) professional artist and photographer, perfumer and psychic, working the Renaissance Faire (the original one) for 30 years. Update my blogs less now than I did, due to health reasons, but have been rather vocal politically since dubya's first reign.

I enjoy mixing it up with the literate and eclectic folk of this forum. One of the best.
