In my own experience, the demographics have changed noticeably. I live in the Bay Area, which is one of the most racially diverse and integrated areas in the entire world, but 9/11 activists were mostly white five years ago. Today the group I roll with is much more reflective of the greater area I live in, white, black, red, brown, yellow... we probably even have a few disguised grays

Boondock Saints came out in 1999. The Boondocks was only a comic strip at that point. The TV series didn't come out until 2005. The comic strip did have some radical socialist, positive race-conscious content, but... methinks you're stretching it.
