Jim DiEugenio praises RI, name-checks Jeff and MinM

Postby RocketMan » Fri Nov 12, 2010 1:52 am

It's in the latest broadcast of BlackOp Radio. The relevant quote begins at about 46:07 in.

Yay!!! :partyhat :yay :thumbsup

I think it's a letter by MinM about Noam Chomsky they're talking about...? DiEugenio describes MinM as "that national treasure you have from Minnesota". Wow. :D

Great opportunity to take advantage of the popularity by posting another blog post.

Thanks for catching that, RocketMan. Here's an mp3 version:

It was kind of weird to hear that last night. DiEugenio takes time to answer his emails on there, but it usually is in reply to a direct question. My email was just to add some backup to a story he told about Noam Chomsky...

rigorousintuition.ca - View topic - Barrie Zwicker on Chomsky and 9/11

He also had some good stuff earlier in the interview about the Oliver Stone, Lisa Pease, and Jim Douglass talk.

Douglass, Stone, Pease in Beverly Hills - The Education Forum

Here's a link to the Jesse Ventura interview from last night too. :thumbsup001:

No prob, way to go MinM!

I thought it was just a great jolt of general positiveness. A perfect start for the weekend!

I wonder what DiEugenio thinks about the more occult/weird aspects of this board. His praise is also a great vindication of the moderation policy on this board, as DiEugenio seems to have his share of trolling/flamewar experience from other boards.

Interesting thing in that radio program, DiEugenio mentions that Chomsky at one point had a different view on the Kennedy assassination and Alexander Cockburn did on RFK.

Bugliosi, too.

Okay; had to transcribe some of that:

‎"I have to push this website...'cause this is one of the very few websites that I really do consider new media. It's called Rigorous Intuition. The guy who runs it is a guy named Jeff Something. His forum there is really, really good. It's one of the best forums out there. Along with Democratic Underground. Except unlike Democratic Undergound, Rigorous Intuition does not have any trolls on it.* It's a really good forum for people who want to exchange ideas. Not just on the assassinations, but on modern day politics also. It's one of the few forums that you can actually do both on...."

Never do that. It's totally horrific.

Media Player Classic: http://mpc-hc.sourceforge.net/ - That'll play anything.

Or RealAlternative: http://www.free-codecs.com/download/rea ... native.htm

For all your media needs.

RealPlayer, and QuickTime, are abominations unto the Lord.

Yeah, but the guy thinks that DU is a good forum? WTF?

It's about as good for the human soul as its namesake -- depleted uranium. :evilgrin
