There is a slightly odd very minor overlap to the cases... its probably nothing but considering all the mass bird deaths right now it struck me right away...

Now compare Daniel M. Pogue's phrase, "Go home, the birds are coming. You need to go home. They were here last night. Did you see them?" to that written phrase by Jared Lee Loughner saying, "There's a new bird on my right shoulder. The beak is two feet and lime green. The rarest bird on earth, there's no feathers, but small grey scales all over the body. It's with one large red eye with a light blue iris. The bird feet are the same as a woodpecker. This new bird and there's only one, the gender is not female or male. The wings of this bird are beautiful; 3 feet wide with the shape of a bald eagle that you could die for. If you can see this bird then you will understand. You think this bird is able to chat about a government?"
Again, I don't really ascribe any great significance to this yet but the synch between the two and conjunction with the mass media coverage of the mass bird deaths ... well, it is what it is ... a coinkydink.

had already unloaded two shotguns, one rifle and multiple swords out of his vehicle and thrown them through the gate onto temple property Saturday when he was confronted by police.
He had also been seen "chopping on the fence surrounding the temple" with a machete, according to a statement from South Jordan police.

SALT LAKE CITY — The man fatally shot by police outside a Mormon temple on Christmas Day was being sued for allegedly scamming real estate investors.
A debt collection lawsuit filed last year in state court names Daniel Pogue as one of the defendants.
The Salt Lake City attorney who filed the suit, according to a report Wednesday in The Salt Lake Tribune, also said he had been contacted by the FBI and wondered if Pogue had reached the end of his rope when he went to the Oquirrh Mountain LDS Temple wielding weapons.
"There was so much real estate fraud going on," attorney Danny Quintana told the Tribune. "(Pogue) got caught up in so many lies."
The suit, set for trial in March before 3rd District Judge Mark Kouris, claims investors were promised prime real estate deals by a group using membership in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints as leverage to convince them they were upstanding citizens.
Ernest Moffitt, Pogue's best friend and a defendant in the lawsuit, denied the fraud allegations. He told the newspaper that illness, not the pending lawsuit or subsequent FBI investigation into ponzi schemes, caused Pogue's erratic behavior on Christmas.
Moffitt said Pogue had been running a 106-degree fever in the days before he was shot.
"He's been sick before and he basically likes to just go crash and sleep it off and get better," Moffitt said. "He's always been able to do that. So I told him he needed to go back home and go to bed."
The next day Pogue, armed with a gun, was shot and killed by police outside the temple.
Quintana claims Pogue had teamed up with Moffitt, of West Jordan, and Moffitt's son David in a scheme where they advertised properties on the Internet and sold them at inflated prices to investors, promising that tenants were lined up to secure the investment.
Quintana represents Ronald Bray of West Jordan, who had bought rental property through the Moffitts and Matthew D. Cartwright, who operated businesses under the names of Fortified Finance, Wasatch Ventures Investment, Wasatch Rent to Own and Secured Capital, according to court documents.
Bray was to be repaid at 14 percent interest.
The suit claims the Bray family lost approximately $32,000 as a result of the bad investment and is seeking more than $2 million in punitive damages against Pogue, the Moffitts and other co-defendants.
David Moffitt has denied the allegations, according to the suit.

Hmmm, delirious, he "decides" on suicide by cop to avoid ramifications of investigation and even tries to avoid involving bystanders by yelling at them THREE TIMES to "Go home!" ??? I'm really wondering now about the percentages of "Rage Shootings" wherein noone is killed and the shooter seems to actively avoid shooting anyone except cops. I first started thinking about this when I rediscovered information about the mass shooting I survived in childhood and most recently again with the UT shooter here in Austin.
