File this under "just for fun" because, well, if I made enough pancakes I might see Jesus' face in one of them, too.

Wow this is some find ! It was sent to us from Matteo Ianneo in Italy. Bravo. Sure looks like a face to me. The coordinates, Latitude 33°12'29.82"N, Longitude 12°55'51.21"W, are confirmed and are found in the Google map of Mars below.

Forty-six year old Ianneo says he is passionate about the riddles of Mars. He is from from the Puglia Region and the town of Cerignola (FG).

Ianneo says he discovered the new face on Mars by examining pictures sent back to Earth from an ESA probe orbiting the Red Planet and worked into Google's map of Mars. He presents the photos below. He is unsure if the photos are optical illusions or a real sculptured face but feels the images will never-the-less cause a sensation around the world.

It's Gorby!

I knew the ancient astronauts worshiped the big lug.

Interesting it's on the 33 degree, as many esoteric things are.

Btw, anyone remember David Flynn's power point? I think he claimed there is some 'as above so below' correlation between Washington DC and Cyndonia on Mars; and he gets into this notion of "19.47" and 33 degrees relating to Mars and the Roswell incident(1947, 33 degree line) Or maybe it was Hoagland, I forget

I dunno. I immediately thought of Lenin myself. Weird, how we both flashed on famous Russian politicians.

It's good to see that male pattern baldness isn't limited to earth.

This is very funny.

I see Lionel Barrymore, the way he looked in Key Largo just a few years before he died, when all those years he had to spend in a wheelchair caught up with him, such that he had finally put on a fair amount of weight (the double chin, you see).

In the eye of the beholder....

I respectfully beg to differ...LIONEL BARRYMORE.

Look at the segment 1:06 to 1:12.

[Sorry for the use of video; I need to sign up for a free image posting account somewhere, but haven't had a chance to do it yet. What do y'all recommend as a good site that doesn't ask you for reams of private info when you sign up? TIA.]

But really....it's LIONEL BARRYMORE! Don't take my word for it, check it out yourself. At the point when he made that film, his ears had grown such that they're large just like in his image on Mars. Cool, eh?

By the way, I've always thought it a nasty trick God played through evolution (or the universe, or the Flying Spaghetti Monster, etc. -- insert your unique understanding of the agency involved), that when human beings age, they stop getting taller (and without extra calcium consumption can even get shorter) BUT THE SKIN OF THEIR EARS AND NOSES KEEPS GROWING...AND GROWING. Great. Something to look forward to. Nasty.

Wow, Maddy! You were so quick to help, thank you!

OK, I'll try it out now. Unfortunately, this is the only angle of Mr. Barrymore's face (three-quarters instead of profile) in Key Largo which I could find quickly, and I don't have time for a thorough search now. And in the photo, the shape of the double chin is hidden in shadow, unlike the detail available in the video.

Oooh, just checking "preview" shows it works! Wheeeeeeee! [I know I'm ridiculously thrilled, but I'm one of those timid types worried about trying out new board code if I think I'm going to screw it up.]

Thanks again, Maddy! You helped me overcome some (unnecessary) timidity here.
