Disney Trademarks 'Seal Team 6'

Gross Opportunist Disney Trademarks 'Seal Team 6'

On May 3, two days after Osama bin Laden was killed, Disney made a move to trademark the term 'Seal Team 6' -- the name of the elite secret squad of Navy SEALs that carried out bin Laden's killing. According to Fishbowl NY via Daily Beast, 'Disney’s trademark applications for “Seal Team 6″ cover clothing, footwear, headwear, toys, games and “entertainment and education services,” among other things.'

After getting over the initial nausea at the idea that the corporation responsible for 'Hannah Montana' is hoping to capitalize on the killing of a murderous terrorist, we have to wonder: should the trademark be granted, what do they hope to do with it? Animated musical about the events at Abottabad? Broadway play about their training facilities? Stuffed animals in SWAT gear wielding automatic weapons? The possibilities are endless. We're pretty shocked they didn't try to trademark the names of bin Laden's wives, too -- could have been a real hit for their princess franchise.

Stay tuned for a most certainly in-the-making 'docudrama' and accompanying franchised goods. Hopefully in addition to the 'footwear, headwear, toys,' they can also manufacture barf bags.

That's pretty ghoulish. But of course Disney has a history of this sort of thing. They designed nice cartoony service insignia for over 1200 units in World War 2.

And in a strange mirror world, Hitler's deep fascination and obsession with Disney cartoons

What? That quote is perfect, especially since our fearless pentagon spook leaders love to talk about being Christian. These nuts want the end times to come in a jiffy

Disney IS the Pentagon/CIA/State Department social conditioner for kidz.

So no suprise. Unless you missed the 20th century.

Oh come on Hugh, are you seriously trying to argue that this cute cuddly summer 2009 family film by Disney about a pack of covert black ops guinea pigs is spook propaganda?

This ones for Hugh: Disneyland and Disneyworld's new main attraction Star Tours 3d has you go through a fake thermal imaging scanner, probed by security droids, etc

The good people at Disney have apparently dropped plans to copyright

Seal Team 6®

No word yet on any possible efforts to trademark

Hoo boy...coming soon from Disney(I swear I'm not making this up), a spinoff sequel to Cars, starring(get this) a bunch of military jet planes. No shitting...these are the very same jets used on a regular basis to blow up civilians in the Middle East and North Africa.
