It would be a part of the space station, which part I do not know but here is a video of the outside. It's 3D but it doesn't matter if you don't have the colored glasses, it is sufficient clear to get the picture.

The ufo is traveling diagonally from top right of screen to bottom left, the F18 locks on to it at the 1.34 minute mark..Unfortunately, we don't get to know the altitude of the ufo, the distance from F18, or its speed, but I am sure this info would be known.

Footage of mysterious object above ocean stuns military personnel

March 10, 2018

Newly-released video of a mysterious object streaking over the Atlantic Ocean shows the Pentagon needs to take UFOs seriously, a researcher says.

The sensational two-minute clip captured by a camera aboard a US Navy F/A 18 jet flying at 25,000 feet wowed military personnel.

“What the f— is that thing?” shouted the pilot in the video posted online by the To the Stars Academy of Arts and Science, a private research company.

“Oh my gosh dude!” exclaimed the jet’s weapons systems officer.

The video was shot off the East Coast in 2015. To the Stars Academy did not say how it obtained the declassified footage, but said others could obtain it through a Freedom of Information Act request.

Three videos showing similar incidents became public last year in reports of $22 million in Pentagon spending on UFO research.

The videos, along with observations by pilots and radar operators, “appear to provide evidence of the existence of aircraft far superior to anything possessed by the United States or its allies,” writes Christopher Mellon, a former defense official in the George W. Bush and Clinton administrations and an adviser to To the Stars Academy.

In a Washington Post op-ed, Mellon reasoned that if the origin of these aircraft is a mystery, “so is the paralysis of the US government in the face of such evidence.”

Mellon, who served as an intelligence official for the Clinton and George W. Bush administrations, charged that military and department agencies “treat such incidents as isolated events rather than as part of a pattern requiring serious attention and investigation.”

Mellon compared the government’s current approach to UFOs to the counterterrorism efforts of the CIA and the FBI prior to 9/11.

He wondered if the US has been “technologically leap-frogged by Russia or China” or might these videos “be evidence of some alien civilization. Unfortunately, we have no idea, because we aren’t even seeking answers.”

'There was something out there': Apollo 11 astronaut Buzz Aldrin 'passes lie detector test after recalling his encounter with alien life' during historic 1969 mission to the moon
Aldrin reportedly passed the lie detector test during his recollection of his close encounter with alien life during the 1969 Apollo 11 mission to the moon
He was part of the test that also analyzed interviews from astronauts Al Worden, Edgar Mitchell and Gordon Cooper
Experts said their results prove they were 'completely convinced' that their claims of alien life were genuine

As elfismiles knows from my sending him my personal Ufology library list of books collected and read over decades of studying the subject, the “Calling Occupants” documentary covered most of the luminaries and authors we’ve both explored.

It also, coincidentally, took place in areas of Ontario I’ve lived in and am very familiar with, including the Toronto region and Muskoka and North Bay, where UFO sightings have abounded over the same years I was also moderating The UFO Forum on CompuServe. So the story of this one man’s exploration is one I can relate to.

I have long since developed my own personal but tentative opinions on the credibility and credulity of the speakers, authors and luminaries filmed at the UFO conferences. What I’m awaiting is Disclosure and the facts that fit the phenomenon.

Yet, until capital D disclosure actually reveals official government and military records on the sightings and phenomena, the jury remains out on the veracity of reports and conclusions drawn from them. Explanations and theories range from the religious to the scientific to the experiencer testimonies of abduction or trauma or enlightenment. It boils down to what we have individually experienced and our conclusions drawn from the field, the sightings, the confabulations and the books.

If there are Occupants of UFO from Space, from Time, from Parallel Universes or from our Collective Unconscious, let's welcome them to RI for a thorough, vetting, interrogation, medical and vociferous discussion to discern just how rigorous and intuitive other beings can be.

I am surprised MUFON hasn't revoked his membership and condemned Ventre, and more so because they've chosen to feature him in their promo video.

Poor form, fer shur. Will the organization survive? Should it survive?

There has always been an undercurrent of racism and racial discrimination running through ufology, from the early Contactee cults, claiming tall, blonde, Aryan-like gods from Space would one day arrive in fleets of saucers to take over our planet and purge us of our primitive practices, to the more recent “Nordics”, a type of alien resembling Northern Europeans.

Similarly, resistance to the alien “Greys” and “Reptilians” and other more “strangely non-human” types of visitors amongst the UFO community is often expressed as aversion to species that don’t look like, nor act like, “us”.

At MUFON conferences and other live UFO conventions I’ve attended, I’ve noted that the demographics of the attendees are predominantly older, white, male, and the majority I’ve spoken with worked in blue-collar jobs.

Sightings involving alleged landings are usually rural, witnessed by simple farm folk and outdoor workers. Urban, cosmopolitan and highly educated ufology enthusiasts seem to be in the minority, except for the lecturers and authors.

I realize stereotyping is dangerously unfair, but we tend to project our own images and attitudes upon the religious, mythological and supernatural heroes, deities and saviors from the sky. Apparently, we would much prefer to be visited and saved by something most like ourselves.

Yes, we do love our self-defined comfort zones.

I should have realized MUFON was no different than society in make-up & mindset.

Thanks for the explanation.

Smiles, does MUFON have a future? I see their 2018 conference will be held soon. Will they act to remove Ventre? Any thoughts?

It's always been like this ... I and others have commented on this for years; that there is a significant lack of 'people of color' within the UFO research community and the known catalog of sightings reports.

A few years ago I was made aware of this insightful paper that was inspired by a conversation I was part of on the old UFO UpDates email list back in 1998 (http://ufoupdateslist.com/1998/dec/m03-018.shtml) ...

Taken: Constructions of ‘Race’, ‘Biology’ and Colonialism in Alien Abduction Narrative in the United States – 2001 PhD, Carol Suzanne Matthews, University of Kansas

This paper and others I'm aware of attempt to address 'race' issues within the ufo field but I'm not aware of any significant works really exploring it aside from these specialized "colonialism / abduction narratives" angles.

My old friend, anthropologist Steve Mizrach, once wrote an article inspired by another excellent work focused on societal gender issues within abduction narratives:

UFO Abductions and Race Fear by Steve Mizrach
https://web.archive.org/web/20110218053 ... -fear.html

Demons, Doctors, and Aliens: A Exploration Into the Relationships Among Witch Trial Evidence, Sexual-medical Traditions, and Alien Abductions by James Pontolillo
https://web.archive.org/web/20110218053 ... -fear.html

As for the future of Mufon ... it'll likely survive this latest series of scandals unless others take up the fight and mount and ongoing campaign to reform it ... but that has been attempted before and failed.

As for this year's Mufon symposium ... it's looking slightly better than last year's lineup (which triggered the flight of several top Mufon officials due to the presence of less than scientific storytellers).

Mufon Symposium 2018

Someone posted this misspelled poster promoting "Lewis" Elizondo ... but I'm not sure if that was a real mufon mistake or someone else's attempt at humor.

Re: Where is UFOlogy at in 2018?

Soooo ... for those of you following the Bigelow, Delonge, To The Stars, AATIP Pentagon program, UFO video release, etc. news closely - here are some tidbits specific to the deep dive analysis of the program(s) and information released:

What's up with those Pentagon UFO videos? Sarah Scoles, Wired, 2018
. . .
"But those are all funny things to say, because it doesn’t seem like the Pentagon ever held the program’s data or documents that close, and it doesn’t seem like the videos in that story ever were classified.
“If they were officially declassified, they would have to have been officially classified,” says Nate Jones, director of the Freedom of Information Act Project at the National Security Archive. And a classified video would likely have a marking at least at the beginning and end, even after it was okayed for public consumption. Someone—at the Times, at To The Stars—could have cut those introductory and closing seconds from the video, but why would they do that, when both groups were emphasizing the direct-from-DOD legitimacy of the videos? “It looks very strongly like these weren’t released through any proper DOD declassification channels that I’ve ever seen,” says Jones. “I’ve seen a lot of DOD declassification in response to FOIA, in response to mandatory declassification review, in response to proactive disclosure. And it doesn’t look like this.”"

The "Advanced Aerospace Weapons Systems Application Program" by Paul Dean

"AATIP OR AAWSAP?

"Paul Dean will be joining us on Thursday, May 3rd (2018). Be sure to join in!"
https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCiDZpK ... qmVh8Fu3Eg

'The original contractual name for AATIP (and a slightly wider scope of issues for want of a better outline) was the "Advanced Aerospace Weapons Systems Application Program" (AAWSAP).'
'Further, "AATIP" was the term used to stipulate UFO work, within the slightly larger Advanced Aerospace Weapons Systems Application Program (AAWSAP).' - Paul Dean"

Isaac Koi wades in with some relevant info as prelude to his upcoming big Bigelow article:

"AATIP & AAWSA documents - As some of you know, I'm working on finishing a long item on Bigelow etc, which I hope to post in the next week or so. In the meantime, to try to reduce some confusion which has arisen about AATIP and AAWSA, I'll just post a bit (some of which I've shared with several friends and fellow researchers during the last few weeks) on that now.
Many of you will be aware that Dr Eric Davis and Dr Hal Puthoff have discussed a series of reports they prepared under for the US government under the AATIP program. For example during a Coast to Coast interview by George Knapp on 28 January 2018, Eric Davis mentioned in relation to AATIP a series of 38 DIRDs ("Defense Intelligence Reference Documents") regarding propulsion, power generation, material science, human interface etc (2 of which were classified)."

UFOs and Racism

In an interview in the February, 1985 issue of OMNI Magazine, Dr. J. Allen Hynek had this to say about the caliber of his fellow UFO researchers:

"I do not mean it unkindly, but the UFO movement today is filled basically with amateurs. Most of the investigators are not professionals, and they are technically ill equipped and lack funds. Many are also beset by preconceived notions of what UFOs ought or ought not to be."

If he were asked that today, Hynek might add that some amateur UFOlogists are beset by horribly racist and intolerant views of their fellow humans. The recent news that Dr. Chris Cogswell, the new Director or Research for MUFON, the Mutual UFO Network, had resigned his post only a few months after taking the position because MUFON was harboring a racist in its camp, has made a lot of headlines, and was just written up today in Newsweek. This is not the kind of publicity that MUFON needs, but it is the publicity it deserves.
. . .
A few other thoughts:

I have often observed with my wife, who is black, that people of color (POC) don't often report UFOs. Hard to say why that is, but it seems to be true. But there are exceptions. My wife's dad once had a very strange encounter that he believes involved a UFO. And one of the most intriguing cases I ever investigated for MUFON was reported by a black man. He, too, was aware that POC don't often file UFO reports. It was a Close Encounter of the Third Kind, and I would have loved to have researched the hell out of it, but the sighting had taken place several years earlier, and the witness' wife would not consent to an interview; she just wanted to forget that the freaky occurrence had ever happened (Historic cases are tricky to begin with, because so much time has passed since the occurrence, but if one of two witnesses doesn't want to talk about it, you're basically left with nothing but one person's story to "investigate")

I don't like to think about what would have happened had John Ventre ever interviewed my father-in-law, or the gentleman who reported the Close Encounter of the Third Kind. I don't think those conversations would have gone well, and two fascinating reports would never have seen the light of day. Can we afford that?

Hint: No.

And then there's this: What the hell does John Ventre think of Barney & Betty Hill, the celebrated UFO abductees who happened to be a bi-racial married couple? Imagine what would have happened if Ventre, or someone like him, had been the first person to contact the Hills...

Pentagon Confirmation: AATIP = Advanced Aerospace Weapon System Applications Program
Update by Roger Glassel to his article,
The AATIP, Targeting Pod Videos and the DOPSR Process
Image
As I stated in my previous article, it was important for me to have the Advanced Aerospace Weapon System Applications search phrase added to my request - as the reports by Dr. Eric Davis were done under the AAWSA program, and a LinkedIn profile I found connected AAWSA to Bigelow. If I was wrong, it would just have been redundant information to my FOIA request, as it already contained other information on which videos I was referring to. I have also learned that Isaac Koi sent these two AAWSA reports to Dr. Davis who confirmed that they are his reports, but I wanted confirmation from an official source.

I contacted the Pentagon spokesperson again, Major Audricia Harris of the OSD PA, with the following question and background information.
