Digtally rented The Phenomenon and I liked it, tho as a lifelong UFO person I didn't glean anything too mindblowing. It felt like a 90 minute Discovery or National Geographic special on any given night. But ending the last half hour on the Ruwa Zimbabwe with some of the schoolchildren in the modern era recollecting what they saw was a nice touch. As well as the credits interspliced with Vallee talking about the classic saucer seen in paintings drawing back millennia. I remember a somewhat serious indie doc over a decade ago that focused on John Mack, so it was cool to finally see a documentary focused around the decades research of Vallee(he looks really good!)
But yeah the Ruwa Zimbabwe 1994 thing still remains the most goosebumps creepy/inspiring event to me in all of human history in regard to "UFO/aliens". There's just no way 64 kids can go in depth in describing landed saucer and aliens in unison, and then 25 years later still describe the same emotion and detail. Weird seeing Richardson and Podesta in there, just that they've become part and parcel to the Epstein/Qanon conspiracy narrative. Or maybe not so weird. Anyways, I liked The Phenomenon even if it wasn't groundbreaking or anything new. It didn't cover too long on Roswell but pretty much showed the "Mogul weather balloon" cover story in the 40s and 1990s is still laughable. The Trent family farm story tho and a few other lesser known incidents were interesting. Main thing I took away is that if UFOs are real, for thousands of years they tend to stick to the classic silver saucer shape, but they often float on their side and take off in the blink of an eye. If anything UFOs are fairly consistent even if they feel telepathically targetted.

Incidentally, as much as they mostly cover boring deficit hawk economics and the like, the morning show "The Hill's Rising" covers UFO news in a serious matter every week. For a mainstream show they cover this topic a lot every week in a serious gravity way

Hmmm...

Leaked Photo Surfaces of Purported Unidentified Aerial Phenomena

Tim McMillan·Breaking NewsUAP ·December 3, 2020

Image

The Debrief has learned of the leak of an unclassified photo, said to have been widely distributed in the Intelligence Community, which purportedly shows what the DoD has characterized as “Unidentified Aerial Phenomena.”

On Wednesday, The Debrief reported on two classified intelligence reports issued by The Pentagon’s Unidentified Aerial Phenomena Task Force (UAPTF).

The Debrief learned of the existence of the photograph from a defense official who has been verified as being in a position to have access to the UAPTF intelligence reports. Additionally, the same two officials with the DoD, and one from the U.S. Intelligence community with whom we previously spoke, confirmed that the leaked image is the same photo provided in a 2018 intelligence position report issued by the UAPTF.

The photo itself is said to be considered “Unclassified and For Official Use Only,” however, because the image and accompanying report were shared on a secure Intelligence Community network, the officials we spoke with would only acknowledge it under strict conditions of anonymity. Prior to any agreement, The Debrief did verify these sources were in fact in positions within the U.S. Intelligence Community and under the authority of the U.S. Director of National Intelligence.

The Debrief reached out to Pentagon spokeswoman Susan Gough for clarification about the photo, who on December 3, 2020, responded to our questions via email.

“To maintain operations security and to avoid disclosing information that may be useful to potential adversaries, DOD does not discuss publicly the details of reports, observations

or examinations of reported incursions into our training ranges or designated airspace, including those incursions initially designated as UAP,” Gough’s reply read.

According to officials The Debrief spoke with, the photo appears to be the same as one referenced in our previous reporting, described as an “unidentified silver ‘cube-shaped’ object” encountered by military pilots as it hovered motionlessly over the ocean. It appears evident that the image was captured by the backseat weapons systems operator of what appears to be an F/A-18 fighter jet.

The photo is consistent with the claims that the image was captured by a pilot using their personal cell phone. Officials we spoke with said the image was captured in 2018 off the East Coast of the United States.

Image

While details are difficult to make out, the image appears to depict an inverted bell-shaped object, which is not readily identifiable given the photo’s context. The object appears to possess ridges or other protrusions along its lateral edges, extending toward its base.

The object bears at least some resemblance to a GPS dropsonde, an atmospheric profiling device designed to be dropped from aircraft. However, notably absent in the pilot’s photo is the GPS receiver which trails below a dropsonde’s square-cone parachute.

Image

The Debrief reached out to Terry Hock, In-situ Sensing Facility (ISF) Manager at the National Center for Atmospheric Research’s Earth Observing Laboratory, about whether the object in the photo resembled any recognizable atmospheric research equipment.

“In regards to the photo, while the image of the object is not clear, it certainly does not look like a dropsonde,” Hock told The Debrief, “because there are no signs of a dropsonde below the object where the object could potentially be a parachute, and it does not have the right shape.”

“Dropsonde are dropped into hurricanes over water, not over military bases,” Hock added. “A dropsonde decent is ~15 m/s, thus it would be very brief for a pilot to see and there would obviously need to be an aircraft above the Navy aircraft which could be confirmed with ATC.”

In Hock’s opinion, the object most closely resembles a mylar balloon.

“There are scientific research groups that do launch balloons which they refer to as drifters,” Hock told us. “[T]his may be a possibility.”

Another possibility is that the photo depicts some variety of military radar-reflector or research balloon. However, two defense officials we spoke with said pilots who encountered the object described that, unlike a balloon under similar conditions, the object was completely motionless and seemingly unaffected by ambient air currents.

While they did not describe the photo as compelling, all three officials we spoke with seemed dismissive of the idea that it depicts a balloon. According to these sources, the photo would not have been issued if there were reasonable estimates that the object was a balloon, given the nature of the intelligence report in which it appeared.

The Debrief has not been able to speak with any of the pilots involved, in order to confirm the accounts described in the intelligence reports. In 2018, the Navy changed its guidelines concerning the reporting of unknown objects by military personnel, and the surfacing of this photograph seems to indicate that some aviators are coming forward with sighting reports.

t was also expressed to us that the photo is not related to an image provided in a separate intelligence report released earlier this summer, as reported previously by The Debrief. Officials who had seen that report said it contained an image of a large equilateral triangle with rounded or “blunted” edges and large, perfectly spherical white illuminated areas in each corner. The image of the large triangular craft was said to have been captured in 2019.

Earlier this year, the Pentagon officially released three videos of what they say show “Unidentified Aerial Phenomena” captured in 2004 and 2015. The newly leaked photo of the balloon-like object is said to have been captured in 2018.

The Debrief will continue to provide updates on this story as more information is obtained. If readers have more information concerning similar UAP reports, images, or videos, please contact The Debrief at tips@thedebrief.org.

‘Shocking’: Leaked PHOTO & classified reports shed light on Pentagon's UFO-tracking activities – report

5 Dec, 2020

A photo of a mysterious airborne object has been leaked to a US defense news outlet, The Debrief. The photo is said to be a part of a classified Pentagon report suggesting some UFOs might be of “alien” or “non-human” origin.

The image published by The Debrief on Thursday depicts what officials first described as a “cube-shaped” silver object “hovering” at an altitude of between 30,000 and 35,000 feet (9.1 to 10.6 kilometers). The object in the photo appears to be more of an inverted bell-shaped one, however, with what looks like ridges on its lateral edges...

Space debris hangs out sometimes.

Why do you think that is?

Sometimes I feel like the title of this thread should be 'Where is ufology at in 1947?'
Both his words and manner of speech seemed at first totally unfamiliar to me, and yet somehow they stirred memories - as an actor might be stirred by the forgotten lines of some role he had played far away and long ago.

The rumor that the US is in contact with some ET has been around for a long time, so it does not surprise me if it turns out to be true. I am not inclined to believe the "humanity is not ready" stuff though, rather their agenda is probably being better served without the hassle of the distraction of becoming the center of attention.

Former Israeli space security chief says aliens exist, humanity not ready

By AARON REICH DECEMBER 8, 2020

Has the State of Israel made contact with aliens?

According to retired Israeli general and current professor Haim Eshed, the answer is yes, but this has been kept a secret because "humanity isn't ready."

Speaking in an interview to Yediot Aharonot, Eshed – who served as the head of Israel's space security program for nearly 30 years and is a three-time recipient of the Israel Security Award – explained that Israel and the US have both been dealing with aliens for years. And this by no means refers to immigrants, with Eshed clarifying the existence of a "Galactic Federation."

The 87-year-old former space security chief gave further descriptions about exactly what sort of agreements have been made between the aliens and the US, which ostensibly have been made because they wish to research and understand "the fabric of the universe." This cooperation includes a secret underground base on Mars, where there are American and alien representatives.

If true, this would coincide with US President Donald Trump's creation of the Space Force as the fifth branch of the US armed forces, though it is unclear how long this sort of relationship, if any, has been going on between the US and its reported extraterrestrial allies.

But Eshed insists that Trump is aware of them, and that he was "on the verge" of disclosing their existence. However, the Galactic Federation reportedly stopped him from doing so, saying they wished to prevent mass hysteria since they felt humanity needed to "evolve and reach a stage where we will... understand what space and spaceships are," Yediot Aharonot reported.

My guess is that these files released would be all the benign reports, those rated internally top secret would not be among these files.

UFOs: The Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) Collection

Below you will find a collection of CIA related UFO records. The Black Vault’s connection to the CIA in getting some of these UFO documents released goes back to 1996.

Originally, the CIA would only release about 1,000 pages that had been previously disclosed after a FOIA court case in the 1980s. They never addressed the records that were dated in the years after the case.

Photo of the CD-ROM, as received from the CIA by The Black Vault.

The Black Vault spent years fighting for them, and many were released in the late 1990s. However, over time, the CIA made a CD-ROM collection of UFO documents, which encompassed the original records, along with the ones that took years to fight for.

In an effort to make sure The Black Vault stayed up to date, in mid 2020, this CD-ROM was purchased to have one particular data dump available for all users of The Black Vault. You will find this below for download in its original state, along with a converted/searchable .pdf format. (Although the CIA claims this is their “entire” collection, there may be no way to entirely verify that. Research by The Black Vault will continue to see if there are additional documents still uncovered within the CIA’s holdings.)

US intelligence agencies have 180 days to share what they know about UFOs, thanks to the Covid-19 relief and spending bill

By Harmeet Kaur, CNN Updated 1826 GMT (0226 HKT) January 10, 2021

(CNN)When President Donald Trump signed the $2.3 trillion coronavirus relief and government funding bill into law in December, so began the 180-day countdown for US intelligence agencies to tell Congress what they know about UFOs.

No, really.

The director of National Intelligence and the secretary of defense have a little less than six months now to provide the congressional intelligence and armed services committees with an unclassified report about "unidentified aerial phenomena."

It's a stipulation that was tucked into the "committee comment" section of the Intelligence Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2021, which was contained in the massive spending bill.

That report must contain detailed analyses of UFO data and intelligence collected by the Office of Naval Intelligence, the Unidentified Aerial Phenomena Task Force and the FBI, according to the Senate intelligence committee's directive.

It should also describe in detail "an interagency process for ensuring timely data collection and centralized analysis of all unidentified aerial phenomena reporting for the Federal Government" and designate an official responsible for that process.

Finally, the report should identify any potential national security threats posed by UFOs and assess whether any of the nation's adversaries could be behind such activity, the committee said.

The submitted report should be unclassified, the committee said, though it can contain a classified annex.
A spokesperson for the Office of the Director of National Intelligence confirmed the news to the fact-checking website Snopes.

Congress has long been interested in UFOs

The Pentagon released three short videos in April of last year showing "unidentified aerial phenomena" -- clips that the US Navy had previously confirmed were real.

The videos, one from 2004 and the other two from 2015, show what appear to be unidentified flying objects rapidly moving while recorded by infrared cameras. Two of the videos contain service members reacting in awe at how quickly the objects are moving. One voice speculates that it could be a drone.

It's still unclear what the objects are, and there's no consensus on their origin. Some believe they may be drones potentially operated by earthly adversaries seeking to gather intelligence, rather than the extraterrestrials we normally equate with UFOs.

In August, the Pentagon announced that it was forming a task force to investigate.
Members of Congress and Pentagon officials have long been concerned about the appearance of the unidentified aircraft that have flown over US military bases. The Senate Intelligence Committee voted last June to have the Pentagon and intelligence community provide a public analysis of the encounters.

But it's not the first time the Pentagon has looked into aerial encounters with unknown objects. The Pentagon previously studied recordings of such incidents as part of a since-shuttered classified program launched at the behest of former Sen. Harry Reid.

That program was launched in 2007 and ended in 2012, according to the Pentagon, because they assessed that there were higher priorities that needed funding.

The former head of the program Luis Elizondo told CNN in 2017 that he personally believes "there is very compelling evidence that we may not be alone."

CNN's Ryan Browne contributed to this report.

I doubt much will come of it, but one can always hope. Unfortunately they stipulated in the bill which agencies should respond (Office of Naval Intelligence, the Unidentified Aerial Phenomena Task Force and the FBI), so anything tucked into some obscure office at the DOE or NRO or one of the bajillion other intelligence agencies won't make it in there.

^ By June 1. I too doubt that we will learn much.

Former intelligence chief: 'Quite a few more' UFOs detected than public knows

by Daniel Chaitin, Breaking News Editor | | March 19, 2021

A former top intelligence official raised expectations for a forthcoming U.S. government disclosure on what it knows about UFOs.

John Ratcliffe, who served as director of national intelligence under former President Donald Trump, was asked on Fox News by host Maria Bartiromo what he knows about unidentified flying objects that have captured people's imaginations for generations.

After saying that there have been sightings all around the world, Ratcliffe insisted that reports of UFOs already in the public eye are only part of the bigger picture.

"Usually, we have multiple sensors that are picking up these things ... There is actually quite a few more than have been made public," he said.

The disclosure is expected to happen sometime between now and June 1, according to Bartiromo. That is thanks to the $2.3 trillion coronavirus relief and government funding bill that Trump signed into law in December, which followed a "committee comment" section of the Senate Intelligence Committee's Intelligence Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2021, which referred to UFOs as "unidentified aerial phenomena."

The Office of the Director of National Intelligence confirmed to Snopes that it set in motion a 180-day countdown for the defense secretary and director of national intelligence to present Congress what the U.S. government knows about UFOs.

There is a lot of chatter going on in the media about the forthcoming Pentagon release of previously classified information from which I gather there is an implication of the existence of advanced off planet technology in use wrt certain UFO sightings. While I am not surprised that such a reality exists, I do wonder why now are the authorities dropping hints. Certainly such revelation needs to be done in a way that does not create panic such as people imagining a 'War of the Worlds' or 'Independence Day' scenario looming. Also I wonder if the authorities would have tried to communicate with the 'intelligence' behind the UFOs, and I am pretty sure they would have done so. This could be the news of the century?

Ratcliffe speaking
“Some of those have been declassified. And when we talk about sightings, we are talking about objects that have been seen by Navy or Air Force pilots, or have been picked up by satellite imagery that frankly engages in actions that are difficult to explain,” he added. “Movements that are hard to replicate that we don’t have the technology for. Or traveling at speeds that exceed the sound barrier without a sonic boom.”

I’m glad the Pentagon is finally releasing this footage, but it only scratches the surface of research and materials available,” wrote Reid on Twitter. “The U.S. needs to take a serious, scientific look at this and any potential national security implications. The American people deserve to be informed.”

The Epoch Times is a pant load. The reason that Epoch Time exists is to brainwash people, let's say to fascism, but in general to tell lies and make common people act against their own morals and best interests. Creepy even.

Bing? BING??!!

But seriously, Epoch Times is a garbage, far-right site. It's virulently anti-Chinese (Falun Gong mouthpieces often are), and as a result they've gone completely off the deep end and become virulently anti-left in general. They're the kind of people who think Biden is one knock on the head away from becoming Stalin 2.0.

I was unaware of the Epoch Times triggering problem, it came up in the context of reading about the UFO story, I promise to God I will not use it again.

And what about Bing, does it have a right wing bias?

Upon hearing that the Pentagon is admitting the possibility of aliens being present on planet Earth, the messenger gets criticized.

Nothing wrong with Bing, I was just surprised to meet an actual human being that uses it.

About the Epoch Times, it's not the specific story I have an issue with, it's the far-right racist source. The same story could have been sourced from any number of non-garbage sites. I don't care if they occasionally post good stuff, it's the principle of the thing: if they're racist they can fuck off until they stop being racist.
