Police honor man who led them to Lee Harvey Oswald

DALLAS (AP) — Dallas police honored a man on Tuesday whose "keen observation skills and strong sense of civic duty" led them to Lee Harvey Oswald, who had crept into the back of a darkened movie theater to hide on Nov. 22, 1963, shortly after the assassination of President John F. Kennedy.
Police Chief David Brown presented Johnny Calvin Brewer with the department's Citizen's Certificate of Merit and praised his selfless act and "exemplary conduct" 48 years ago during a ceremony at the Texas Theatre — the same place where Oswald was captured about 80 minutes after Kennedy was killed.

Good research by John Armstrong confirmed the 'two Oswalds' trick of using doubles that J. Edgar Hoover accidentally stumbled on with his warning memo about two people using Oswald's passport. CIA-Hollywood was covering that up when the project was initiiated before JFK was even elected.

The Dealey Plaza witness named Lee Bowers has gotten lots of decoy action. So has Ed Hoffman and Sam Holland.

If you get just one book, make it 'The Assassinations' by James DiEugenio and Lisa Pease.

Caution: McAdams' site is the CIA's leading online JFK disinfo site. I should've included it in my "Avoid" list above but there are so many...

Kennedy spent 1963 sending advisors over to 'Nam to legitimize his decision to cauterize that wound starting before his inevitable re-election in a small but decisive way to be finalized in 1964 during his 'untouchable' lame-duck term knowing full well he'd be demonized as soft on communism even more than he already was.

Lt. Col. L. Fletcher Prouty wrote extensively on the NSAM 263 process since he was closely involved.
Because this goes to the heart of why JFK was killed, attempts to discredit all of Prouty's unique writings as a 'Secret Team' insider have been deployed including on this board. Not an indictment of your entirely appropriate inquiry, just a heads-up on the stakes involved in online infowar against historical clarity regarding 263.

Even Daniel Ellsberg has avoided the subject of NSAM 263 and his famous leak of the 'Pentagon Papers' minimizes its significance. Prouty said these were misleadingly-named sanitized CIA/Secret Team papers deployed by CIA media for a distinct purpose. Makes sense.
