For years I've noticed that the CIA-media steers the public away from the internet just before they might learn *subversive* history due to an anniversary, such as the June 5 anniversary of the CIA murder of Sen. Robert F. Kennedy. We get stories about 'internet addiction' and encouragement to 'just say no' to our technology and social media etc.
NPR especially, since their audience tends to be upscale online internet center-left types who might accidentlaly find out.....DOH!
Today NPR's weekend 'Intelligence Squared' debate show (yes "intelligence") debated whether the internet was bad for the public's view of politics.
A show on the local former 'Air America' station had a host ranting about how reading comments below articles was erasing his intelligence.
"No, don't read!" bad bad bad is reading....
This has been going on for years. It is seasonal.
