Fair enough SLAD , but ulitmately the buck stops here.

your mind IS the universe, whether
you like it or not.

For What It's Worth, this is a quote from a recent talk by Dennis McKenna, brother of the late great Terrence.

We live in a 3lb universe, and all of the rest of it , quite frankly is fukn nonsense.

If my brain is the universe, why is it full of nonsense like this?

I've been ejected from my body three times (that I can vividly remember). I say 'ejected from' rather than 'left' because volition had nothing to do with it. That was game over personally for the "you are your brain" thing.

I think it was Chris Knowles who recently wrote about paranormal experience not being transferable. But, even so, there it is.

Not as much as I'd like to think.

Not a three-pound universe, but a three-pound symbol - of the filtration/organization process of the mind upon perception and awareness.

Ok, I'll bite. I've got a few minutes to kill.

How about you do some homework. Here's a starting point:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Solipsism

Then contemplate:

THE BRAIN is wider than the sky,
For, put them side by side,
The one the other will include
With ease, and you beside.

The brain is deeper than the sea,
For, hold them, blue to blue,
The one the other will absorb,
As sponges, buckets do.

The brain is just the weight of God,
For, lift them, pound for pound,
And they will differ, if they do,
As syllable from sound.

Emily Dickinson (1830–86). Complete Poems. 1924.

Then read the following:
(Alert: this could piss you off. But remember, it's all in your head.)

On the reception and detection of pseudo-profound bullshit

Here's a hug to make it all better:

Hey BPH thanks for the thoughtful reply. I have a lot of trouble posting around here these days, due to what could actually be genuine reasons. If I can trust my DNS for long enough I'd love to discuss this more. In the meantime , here's some neuroscientific context.

For those of us lucky enough to find the time to think about such stuff of course
