7/7 Dallas Shooting

Postby Wombaticus Rex » Thu Jul 07, 2016 11:48 pm

"Tonight it appears that two snipers shot ten police officers from elevated positions during the protest / rally. Three officers are deceased, two are in surgery and three are in critical condition. An intensive search for suspects is currently underway. No suspects are in custody at this time."

Per Dallas police chief David Brown. Developing, I'll update this OP as we go.

Abundant video footage, since this happened in the middle (apparently?) of a Black Lives Matter protest downtown. I won't post any here, but that's just personal aesthetics.

Dallas PD have circulated a photo -- via twitter, because of course, this is reality now -- of a black man in a camo shirt and a rifle slung over his shoulder, apparently walking among other protesters in the daylight. One version of the shot showed it time-stamped on the original camera as July 7th.

Footage has also emerged of the same man standing with protesters and watching police - in what appears to be the immediate aftermath of shots fired elsewhere. Twitter users latched onto the footage and about an hour later Dallas PD were referring to the man as a person of interest rather than a suspect.

Initial footage/reports of a "suspect" in body armor being arrested was apparently confused; he was a protester making a fashion statement and is not considered a suspect.

Just a lot of rumor churn until 1 am; Dallas PD have announced the capture of two suspects in a Mercedes.

I just read an article that said it was "snipers".

7/7 huh? Interesting. 2016. 1+6 = 7

What an "interesting" number that 7.

Great. Now the focus will be on
The "thugs" shooting cops, and any focus on racial injustice will be forgotten, along with hill dawn's e-mails.
been watching the interwebs all day, there's been two separate hostile shootings of black men, by the police in two different states, and protests are breaking out across the country. ..brutal murders, if not out right executions, both of the black men.
... now there's been a police officer shot in Dallas...at one of the protests?. ...someone is fanning the flames for a race war.

Btw, fucking Facebook deleted the live stream video of the girl as well as her account after she posted the shooting of her boyfriend.

Gonna be a long hot summer, folks..

No I'm not going to go "there" but how close was this to Dealy Plaza? Downtown Dallas has always looked rather small to me. Never been there.

Yes, a long hot summer indeed. (Seattle though is in the low 60s).

10 officers shot. 4 dead as of the most recent report.

Oy vey. This will not go good.

Some footage said they were filming from Main Street and Lamar, and Google maps places "Bank of America buildling" at 901 Main Street.

That's about 5 blocks away from the Plaza and that hilarious museum they've got there.

Ohio is open carry. GOP convention could be an utter nightmare. Guy with rifle not involved. But something tells me this won't make people leave their guns home in Cleveland.

I joked about this earlier today, but now...?

It may not be a joke.

CNN right now has a couple of guests/experts talking about how more militarization of police is needed. Look for that "discussion" to ramp up. Sweet.

Disturbing video here. Seems to show gunmen killing police officer, and doing so very skillfully. Notice the feint at abt 30 seconds, misdirecting the officer before he shoots him from the rear.

Many on the twitter thread suggesting military training.

The brother of the guy in the picture being circulated is on media telling everyone that he is not a suspect, and was taken away by the police for questioning apparently. saw the interview on facebook but not sure how to link it

The writers for the newsy shows on Comedy Central are gonna have their hands full come Monday. They are going whole hog tonight on police brutality as they tape all their shit earlier in the day. Maybe the hosts will go after the NRA. You gotz me.

Really not trying to keep a tally, but a 5th officer has perished.

The person who was engaged in a shootout up until about now is being reported as having died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Dead men tell no tales.

I have read it in MSM site comments people are bringing up false flag. It must be the influence of Texas' own Alex Jones.

I don't think it was a BLM protest but I don't know. Just to get a pulse on the narrative, yes, yes I am watching FOX News to see how they are handling it. Not that it has anything to do with it but they just interviewed four seemingly gay dudes about what was happening at the protest/rally or whatever it was.

One thing though is that this definitely throws more doubt on that janky ass gun Oswald used to kill Kennedy with. Sorry, since it's Dallas.

Not going there quite yet. But keep that in mind.
