I still wonder . . . Also in my new house across town, all of our Cuban tree frogs disappeared on the night of last years Super Moon. They would croak loudly all night long for months, but on the night of the Super Moon we went outside to view it and noticed it was eerily silent. No frogs. The didn't come back for months! Weird animals.

I actually tried to investigate the palmetto bug mystery further! I was going to take photos and keep a log book and maybe become famous for my discoveries! But they never did the thing again. At least not for the next several nights and then I gave up. Science is not for the impatient. :bigsmile

Hi Hugo!

This was reported back in February, so it might be old news, though I'm not sure that it's relevant to this topic:

Magnetoreception molecule found in the eyes of dogs, primates
Dog-like carnivores, some primate species may have a magnetic compass similar to that of birds

Hey, that would go a long way in explaining how some dogs have found their way home from hundreds, maybe even thousands of miles, Thanks for that link!

Mystery Hummmm Mind Control

Meanwhile, in this week’s Anomaly News round-up there are several articles of interest including a New York Times article, United States of Paranoia, about the people who feel they are the victims of Gang-Stalking. That article even touches on those who feel they are being attacked by E.L.F. mind control technology and Mystery Hum related phenomena. Two years ago, Jared Keller wrote another excellent and comprehensive article on the Mystery Hums that also touched on the mind control element but also documents the various research into finding the sounds ultimate source. Earlier this year, I myself experienced a series of mysterious deep humming like effects over a period of time. In this week’s news round-up we also have a new article from The Guardian about the Windsor Hum.

From the New Republic article. That Windsor visualization sure looks familiar to me. I think the artists are onto something.

And this is interesting although clearly not the only factor involved:

But from this set of information Kohlhase has extrapolated a conclusion more and more sweeping in scope. He believes that most—if not all—mass shootings of the past few decades can be traced to natural gas pipelines emitting low-frequency radiation. I asked Kohlhase about Aaron Alexis, the Washington Navy Yard shooter. “I don’t think he was crazy,” he said. “I think he was basically sane given the conditions he was experiencing.” Nor does he think Alexis was alone. Using MacPherson’s maps of Hum reports, and his own research, Kohlhase claimed to have found a correlation between high numbers of Hum sufferers and mass shootings: “[Alexis] was probably affected mentally by living in these Hum clusters, such as many of these other murderers—in Denver, Albuquerque, Tucson, out in California, even out here in Connecticut, at Newtown.” In the wake of the Sandy Hook shooting, Kohlhase submitted material to the Connecticut State Police suggesting that a natural gas pipeline near Adam Lanza’s home may have been what drove him to kill 27 people.

So he never got in the box?

But having finally completed the box, MacPherson suddenly stopped. After weeks of telling me that he would conduct his experiment in my presence, he made it clear that it would not happen. Partly, he said, this had to do with the school year starting up again and the increasing demands of his main job and his other hobbies. A few weeks later, when MacPherson still hadn’t tested it, a poster on MacPherson’s web site snarled at him. “Go in already,” he wrote. “What is it with this cliff-hanger shit?”

Thanks Elvis ... sorry folks, I usually try and find a pre-existing thread and ... I _KNEW_ there was one but was rushing and forgot to do my due diligence.

Hola Wombat!

Could you combine my Mystery Hum thread to the long existing one?

Thanks for the update, Smiles. Looks like VLF might be out.

I entered the VLF Radio Blocking Box: the results
SEPTEMBER 18, 2016 6:41 AM / 58 COMMENTS ON I ENTERED THE VLF RADIO BLOCKING BOX: THE RESULTS

I could still hear the Hum.

I entered the box at about 1:40 am last night and and soon as I lay down quietly inside it, the Hum was there, as loud as ever.

As a final step, I need to establish that the box does what it says it does (i.e. block essentially all VLF radio signals), and to have a physicist confirm my calculations regarding the radio skin depth of a 10 kHz radio wave for mild steel. If everything checks out, then this a serious piece of evidence against the VLF theory.

I’ll let you know if and when I’ll be shifting gears and moving on to the second hypothesis.

I wonder, Smiles, could it simply be from electricity running through wires and all, increasing and decreasing in pitch because an area goes into phase? Like the "singing wires" of the 19th century. Becoming audible when reaching synchronicity "in phase"?

I have no idea IamWhomIam. That's an interesting idea. I'll have to look into the "singing wires" stuff ... is that different than an aeolian harp?
