The "trend" you are perceiving does not exist. Hillary Clinton has been slandered at great length here, but you started this thread about Ellen and I don't think anyone has even mentioned Oprah but me and Puf -- neither in a context involving "danger."
That said, of course: anyone with power is seriously dangerous. This is the double bind that shapes the human governance of human societies.
