Seven freshman Democrats: These allegations are a threat to all we have sworn to protect
Elaine Luria

Reps. Gil Cisneros of California, Jason Crow of Colorado, Chrissy Houlahan of Pennsylvania, Elaine Luria of Virginia, Mikie Sherrill of New Jersey, Elissa Slotkin of Michigan and Abigail Spanberger of Virginia are all freshman Democrats.

Our lives have been defined by national service. We are not career politicians. We are veterans of the military and of the nation’s defense and intelligence agencies. Our service is rooted in the defense of our country on the front lines of national security.

We have devoted our lives to the service and security of our country, and throughout our careers, we have sworn oaths to defend the Constitution of the United States many times over. Now, we join as a unified group to uphold that oath as we enter uncharted waters and face unprecedented allegations against President Trump.

The president of the United States may have used his position to pressure a foreign country into investigating a political opponent, and he sought to use U.S. taxpayer dollars as leverage to do it. He allegedly sought to use the very security assistance dollars appropriated by Congress to create stability in the world, to help root out corruption and to protect our national security interests, for his own personal gain. These allegations are stunning, both in the national security threat they pose and the potential corruption they represent. We also know that on Sept. 9, the inspector general for the intelligence community notified Congress of a “credible” and “urgent” whistleblower complaint related to national security and potentially involving these allegations. Despite federal law requiring the disclosure of this complaint to Congress, the administration has blocked its release to Congress.

This flagrant disregard for the law cannot stand. To uphold and defend our Constitution, Congress must determine whether the president was indeed willing to use his power and withhold security assistance funds to persuade a foreign country to assist him in an upcoming election.

If these allegations are true, we believe these actions represent an impeachable offense. We do not arrive at this conclusion lightly, and we call on our colleagues in Congress to consider the use of all congressional authorities available to us, including the power of “inherent contempt” and impeachment hearings, to address these new allegations, find the truth and protect our national security.

As members of Congress, we have prioritized delivering for our constituents — remaining steadfast in our focus on health care, infrastructure, economic policy and our communities’ priorities. Yet everything we do harks back to our oaths to defend the country. These new allegations are a threat to all we have sworn to protect. We must preserve the checks and balances envisioned by the Founders and restore the trust of the American people in our government. And that is what we intend to do.

I never use green ink to indicate sarcasm, so perhaps you do not either, Overcoming Hope. I suppose overcoming hope is easy, once you've overcome all reason. Romney? Voight? You must be joking!

Both are loathsome creatures, but surely between the two, Voight is far more depraved. The best thing about Voight besides his very hot and very fucked up daughter, is his brother, Chip Taylor, who wrote Wild Thing, made famous by The Troggs. He also wrote Angel of the Morning by Juice Newton Merrilee Rush.

Voight, now 81, regrets his earlier activism. I think this is his Catholic guilt[ at play after years of engaging in all sort of debauchery: "I was raised Catholic - I fell in love with certain ideals. The idea of right and wrong, being righteous, acknowledging when you make a mistake, repentance - all these important things I got from my Catholic background."

Bypassing Anaconda, the two films he's most celebrated for, Midnight Cowboy and Deliverance both left me with a bad taste in my mouth and no desire to see them ever again. This, nearly two decades ago, was probably his best performance ever: "On December 9, 2001, he appeared as a surprise guest on Muppets Tonight (1996) dressed as a giant chicken with Gonzo the Great."

In his early life, his political views aligned with American liberal views and he supported President John F. Kennedy, describing his assassination as traumatizing to people at that time.[15] He also worked for George McGovern's voter registrations efforts in the inner cities of Los Angeles.[16] Voight actively protested against the Vietnam War.[17] In the 1970s, he made public appearances alongside Jane Fonda and Leonard Bernstein in support of the leftist Unidad Popular group in Chile.[18]

In a July 28, 2008 op-ed in The Washington Times, he wrote that he regretted his youthful anti-war activism, and claimed that the peace movement of that time was driven by "Marxist propaganda". He also claimed that the radicals in the peace movement were responsible for the communists coming to power in Vietnam and Cambodia and for failing to stop the subsequent slaughter of 2.5 million people in the Killing Fields.[17]

In the same op-ed he also criticised the Democratic Party and Barack Obama's bid to become president claiming that the Democrats had created "a propaganda campaign with subliminal messages, creating a God-like figure (Obama)" who would "demoralize this country and help create a socialist America".[17] He claimed Obama had grown up with the teachings of very angry, militant white and black people around him.[17]

In May 2008, Voight paid a solidarity visit to Israel in honor of its 70th birthday. "I'm coming to salute, encourage and strengthen the people of Israel on this joyous 60th birthday", said Voight. "This week is about highlighting Israel as a moral beacon. At a time when its enemies threaten nuclear destruction, Israel heals."[19]

Voight endorsed Republican presidential nominees Mitt Romney and Donald Trump in the 2012 and 2016 presidential elections respectively.[20][21] Speaking at an inauguration rally for Donald Trump in January 2017 Voight said, "God answered all our prayers" by granting Trump the White House. In May 2019, Voight released a short two-part video on Twitter supporting President Trump's policies, and calling him "the greatest president since Abraham Lincoln".[22]

81 and his phone's ringtone is the theme song to Midnight Cowboy, "Everybody's Talkin'."

Scroll down for some choice Voight quotes: https://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000685/bio like this one :
We were traumatized in the Sixties and all of that behavior-the dancing in circles, the smoking pot and saying "all we need is love"-it was because we couldn't identify evil; we couldn't believe in evil-we didn't want to believe in evil so we just hid from it. It was a very disturbing time. Some of it-let everybody do their thing and all that stuff-was OK in terms of getting to the truth of things and that was a nice energy. But, really, overwhelmingly, it was a very bizarre, selfish and hedonistic philosophy that wasn't very helpful. It attacked the family-the attack on the family was very severe because not only was there this idea of indiscriminate love and that would solve the world's problems, which gave rise to teen pregnancy, but also this idea not to trust anyone over 30. This was from people who were over 30 and bombed out of their minds with every kind of drug they could put into their system. Then there was the romanticization of the drugs-there were people coming out with pseudo scientific evidence that drugs increase your enlightenment-it was devastating. Today, I find that people look back at that time in a romantic way and that's as dangerous as anything is. It wasn't a romantic time. It was a time of great distortion.

note to Ms. Ball, I doubt that trump will be running in 2020. That notion will become more evident after this week. trump has already admitted to “high crimes and misdemeanors” 3 times live on TV

international bribery and extortion

bribery is an impeachable offense.

The US Constitution, Art. 2, Section 4, says,

The President, Vice President and all civil Officers of the United States, shall be removed from Office on Impeachment for, and Conviction of, Treason, Bribery, or other High crimes and Misdemeanors.

solicit a campaign contribution of sorts from a foreign national

52 U.S. Code § 30121. Contributions and donations by foreign nationals

U.S. Code Notes

(a) Prohibition

It shall be unlawful for— (1) a foreign national, directly or indirectly, to make—

(A) a contribution or donation of money or other thing of value, or to make an express or implied promise to make a contribution or donation, in connection with a Federal, State, or local election.

(B) a contribution or donation to a committee of a political party; or

(C) an expenditure, independent expenditure, or disbursement for an electioneering communication (within the meaning of section 30104(f)(3) of this title); or (2) a person to solicit, accept, or receive a contribution or donation described in subparagraph (A) or (B) of paragraph (1) from a foreign national.

The total number for impeachment now stands at 160 house members and one honorary member from Maine.

and since we are going all Hollywood

Like Rep. Pelosi, I haven't seen the point of a House impeachment proceeding when the McConnell-led Senate won't convict. But with this Ukraine business, Trump has gone too far and must be brought to heel. For the good of America, impeach now.

Well, it is showing up, and we can all see it, embedded on the page like other videos, and you haven't corrected your mistake yet.

You know what I have seen happen before? I have seen you complain about shit like this, which was usually your mistake (as it is now), and I've seen you state or insinuate this same false assumption, that the blame must lie with THEM looking to suppress you because whatever it is you posted or said was so important and dangerous to THEM. Truth is, most info control happens through flooding.

Targeted Internet censorship, automated and otherwise, is real and pressing. For that reason, false alarms are doing the enemy's work. Exaggerations and adding false facts to otherwise sound analysis does the enemy's work. These seem to be specialties with you. Not all the time, often great stuff you post (if in drive-by fashion). But plenty of poison pills and also this kind of thing, which has a discrediting effect.

The total number for impeachment now stands at 163 165 167 174 175 179 187 house members

I have edited this post 7 times to change the number of members calling for impeachment since 12 pm

Very solid #Dem House leadership source just confirmed to me that @SpeakerPelosi will announce a formal impeachment inquiry this afternoon and imply that she herself favors impeachment of @realDonaldTrump.

Richard Blumenthal

I am calling today for a House Select Committee to investigate & move forward with impeachment proceedings against the President. I reached this decision with sadness, but also anger, after the President has repeatedly broken laws & betrayed his oath of office.

His seeking corrupt assistance from a foreign leader for personal political gain crosses the line. This illegal misuse of the presidency for private benefit is an impeachable act. This most recent lawbreaking follows three years of contemptuous disregard for the Constitution.

Congress must demand accountability. The values&norms of our democracy are precious&vulnerable. They depend on people fighting for them in times of adversity. At this moment, the threat to the rule of law&our democracy has reached a new height&requires all of us to step forward.

The House must impeach. It must start today.

That's another thing you do, every time you are caught out doing some of the crap I described above. You respond to it like a teenager.* It's always nothing, or someone else's fault, including the stuff you posted from a Nazi source.

Are you a native speaker? Contempt is false usage here. I feel none for you. Since we are allied on a lot of views I am bothered (not a synonym) by your contempt for facts and credible standards of presentation.

* probably the wrong word given how in certain situations today teenagers are displaying all the maturity and it's old fucks having the temper tantrums.

This caught even little old me off guard. I am incredibly grateful for the people doing this type of research. They will find no sympathetic ear pretty much in any establishment corner.

A corrupt shitshow, is the Democratic Party.

https://sfbayview.com/2019/09/election- ... sTaLQz5cfI

Election interference: 2016 paper trails suggest fraud in Democratic primaries

Rodolfo Cortes Barragan holds a PhD in cognitive psychology from Stanford University. He and a colleague conducted a study that turned up strange patterns in presidential electoral results in 2016. I spoke to him about the study.

Ann Garrison: Rodolfo, what were the results of your study of returns in the 2016 presidential election?

Rodolfo Cortes Barragan: We saw irregularities in vote patterns. For example, everyone knew that there were discrepancies between most exit polls and reported polls. However, we found that there were more discrepancies in states with strictly electronic voting machines.

Clinton won 65 percent, Bernie Sanders 35 percent in those states. In states with paper ballots, Clinton won 49 percent, Sanders 51 percent. Voting methods vary from state to state and from county to county within states.
You can go to Verified Voting to see a map of the methods used across the US.

Results are most reliable in Oregon, Massachusetts and Vermont. The absolute worst is Louisiana. Their strictly statewide electronic voting could be considered a form of voter suppression.

AG: And did you conduct that research alone or were you working with someone else?

RCB: I collaborated with Axel Geijsel, a cognitive psychologist in the Netherlands.

AG: Can you explain how you went about collecting data?

RCB: All the data we reported is publicly available. We simply merged it all together and noticed strange patterns.

AG: Did you also look into results in the states that choose delegates at caucuses rather than statewide elections? (In 2016, eight states held caucuses rather than statewide polls: Iowa, Alaska, Nevada, North Dakota, Kansas, Wyoming, Hawaii, Kentucky – Republican only, Maine, and Washington, Democratic only. For an explanation of how caucuses work, see Business Insider. The process is not identical from state to state.)

RCB: We did not look into caucuses because there is no publicly available data, but it’s a lot more difficult to rig a caucus than a primary. A caucus is done out in the open – people engage with one another and everyone can see the outcome. People are counted visually as standing on one side of the room or the other.

Occasionally, there are accusations of unfair die – meaning an unfair coin toss or other unfair means of resolving a tie by chance. Some said that coin tosses for Clinton were unfair in Iowa, but there’s no publicly available data that could prove that.

AG: In 2016, however, violence erupted after a yay-nay voice vote was held at the Nevada State Democratic Convention because Clinton had been awarded 20 delegates to the national nominating convention, Sanders 15. Sanders issued a critical statement reported by Rolling Stone, in “WTF Happened at the Nevada Democratic State Convention?”:

“According to various reports, Sanders supporters yelled, threw chairs and booed Clinton surrogate Barbara Boxer, incensed by a process they saw as rigged in Clinton’s favor. Clinton backers responded by calling for the disruptive Sanders delegates’ arrests. …

“Sanders went on to denounce the way the Nevada state convention was conducted, saying [Party Chair Roberta] Lange should at the very least have held a head-count rather than a yay-nay voice vote, and accusing her of refusing to acknowledge motions from the floor or accept any petitions for amendments, in violation of the rules. Sanders also protested the disqualification, ‘en masse,’ of 58 of his delegates.

“‘These are on top of failures at the precinct and county conventions,’ Sanders said, ‘including trying to depose and then threaten with arrest the Clark County convention credentials chair because she was operating too fairly.’”

With regard to the violence, Sanders said he doesn’t condone any violence, but that someone had fired a shot through the window at his Nevada campaign headquarters while he was inside, and that the hotel his staff were staying in had been robbed and ransacked.

The Clinton campaign claimed that there were no irregularities, and condemned the violence at the state convention.

RCB: Yeah, that was the most raucous caucus in recent memory. It was like Nevada reverted to the Wild Wild West.

AG: Did you make any effort to share your national or statewide results with the national Democratic Party, state parties or press?

RCB: We know that Bernie Sanders’ press secretary saw our results, as well as the results of other analysts suggesting fraud, but we did not hear him comment or complain about them. Comedian Lee Camp reported our findings on RT’s Redacted Tonight.

AG: Do you see any electoral reform taking place anywhere that might produce results more worthy of voters’ confidence?

RCB: No, the country has not moved to where it should be moving: 100 percent hand-counted paper ballots. The UK uses that method and reports results in good time, but officials tell us that for some reason we can’t.

AG: Both parties are likely to claim Russian interference at the ballot box if they don’t get the results they want this time. Can anything like that be readily proven or disproved?

RCB: We can’t prove who hacks anything, because, as Wikileaks’ Vault 7 release showed, the CIA has figured out ways of covering their tracks and hiding the true origin of hacks, and it’s likely that other intelligence agencies have developed the same deceptive technology. However, we can look for strange patterns in data – like Clinton’s majority win in states with electronic balloting and Bernie’s in states with paper ballots and stark differences between exit polls and reported polls.

AG: Why do you yourself continue to run for office, knowing how corrupt our elections are?

RCB: I think we need to think about local context. I’m running in Los Angeles County. We have never had an election fraud scandal, though we have had some terrible processes like poll workers not being trained well. We have some of the safest elections in the country, and our paper-based, hand-counted model should be instituted nationally.

The most preferable method is hand-counted paper ballots, next most preferable are paper ballots scanned by some sort of machine since there is a paper trail that can be hand-counted if a candidate with standing demands it. The least preferable method is of course purely digital voting.

Votes are often tallied or scanned and tallied by machines built by unregulated private corporations. We need 100 percent hand-counted paper ballots nationwide.
-I don't like hoodlums.
-That's just a word, Marlowe. We have that kind of world. Two wars gave it to us and we are going to keep it.

.

Politicians and power brokers are fast friends behind the scenes, glad-handing each other while exchanging arms and money. And then, the glad-handers express pantomimes of righteous indignation in front of the press and cameras when attempting to disclose wrongdoing. Laughable. This charade goes on across both sides of the 'aisle', of course.

It doesn't stop a segment of our population from holding tight to their delusions, however, believing either party will endeavor to work for the interests of the Average American.

On July 18, 2013, a fundraiser for Schiff’s reelection campaign was held at the home of Ukrainian arms dealer Igor Pasternak in Washington, D.C. Price of admission: $2,500 a head, and $1,000 for guests.

Related piece of info:

https://jamestown.org/program/ukraine-b ... e-us-firm/

Ukroboronprom, the state entity responsible for Ukraine’s military-industrial complex, announced that it would begin joint production with the United States company Aeroscraft of a Ukrainian variant of the M16 assault rifle—to be renamed the WAC-47. Sergei Mykytyuk, the director of Ukroboronprom subsidiary Ukroboronservis, told journalists at a January 3 press conference in Kyiv with Aeroscraft CEO Igor Pasternak and Ukroboronprom director Vladimir Korobov, “The first weapon for the pilot project will be manufactured in Ukraine—a model M16 automatic rifle designated the WAC-47. Weapons manufacture to NATO [North Atlantic Treaty Organization] standards is an important part of the development and reform of the Ukrainian military-industrial complex.” Aeroscraft’s CEO added, “The M16 project was conceived some time ago, as the Ukrainian armed forces, border guards and National Guard will, with time, switch to NATO standards” (Presa Ukraini, January 3, 2017).

There's more to this Pasternak fellow that ties back to current interference tactics around this 'whistleblower' operation. Tough to sift through much of the partisan-slanted crap to find value out there right now, but there's substance to be found for those willing to dig for it.
