This is grotesque. I’m sure you’ll agree, even if you find yourself agreeing with many points raised in this North Korean propaganda video, as I do. If you are queasy - consider this a trigger warning – it contains clips of dead bodies of all ages; some have died from famine, but many have died from war; heart-wrenching stuff that will anger and upset you.
You will note more than a few factual errors. One faux pas, unnoticed by its editors, can be found in their introduction which includes an homage to their “Eternal Leader,” and later, in their condemnation of western religions for their followers belief in the “eternal soul.” I dunno, but I wonder if North Koreans have forgotten how to think. Having lived sequestered lives for a few generations, with the only information available about anything occurring within their own country or in foreign lands, coming solely from the state.
While their criticism of the captive consumer watching television commercials is accurate, I wonder how they shared this choice piece of piecemeal propaganda with their Korean audience? Kabuki?
Oh, Rex, they just don’t understand American wrestling – don’t take it personally. I’m just glad they didn’t have a clip of Tyra Banks giving the Illuminati symbol!
I thought about placing the first video listed below in Current Events, but both this and the next belongs here. Notice what he says about the downside of Government ownership of industry and that he never offers the dangers of the converse, corporate control of industry.
