Dimensionless

Postby Peg C » Fri Sep 30, 2005 3:45 am

I have known many side-slips in "time" when I knew precisely what was going to happen "next." And I have known, DO know - continuously - a universal state in which "I" am everything I perceive. The perception is confirmed when wild birds and small mammals swarm me, alighting on my arms and grouping around my feet. I call it the "St. Francis Syndrome;" but it happens and has nothing to do with woo-woo. It is a piece with the shimmering, striving aura around any living thing, always urgent, that can be perceived by anyone who cares enough to open his spirit.

This living world is a multi-dimensional miracle. And only love will keep it alive.

Please, anyone...contribute narratives about connectedness, Because that's what consciousness is all about!

Bravo!!

Wonderful post!! Thank you, Peg C, for the great information. I have had several "peak" experiences when I have known that I and the Universe are one. Look up into a starry night sky and how can you miss that experience of being one? My question is - any hints on how to be in it all the time, or at least when desired? I'd love some practical hints on how to keep the heart open along with my inner eye. Peace be with you - Connut

Practical suggestion

Postby manxkat » Fri Sep 30, 2005 4:17 pm

Nice discussion. I've had a few of those peak experiences too. I can't summon them at will, but creativity helps: write music, paint, build something useful, etc. Just tapping into positive creative work of any kind is humbling and gets us closer to that oneness -- especially if we keep our egos out of the picture as much as possible.

Buddhists and others believe that meditation is the key to all this -- the practice of getting ourselves in touch with the NOW. I'm afraid I don't have the patience for it, so I opt for creativity which puts me in the NOW in a much more rewarding way.

Im desperately trying to get there, and am jealous as hell of you folks. Whoops strike the above remark, since fear anger envy and resentment are I believe a major obstacle.

Hopefully saying such things in jest isnt

I do have a good teacher however, and little things are begginning to happen.

Hope to join you guys soon
