the links provided are only in regards to the background informations for "using" the star tetrahedron, and related objects in conjunction with the "esoteric" aspects of occult cosmology, and by no means are they inherently neccessary, although the second link is perhaps more relevant to this particular discussion, as to how quantum mechanics and gravity work together to make our "hologram" of a universe appear as it does.

My "opinion" on OOM is based on my personal cross referencing of their "information", which, while very prettily presented, often falls into new agey trends, such as the 2012 meme. It is also not a "translation" as their is no document it was translated from.

There is indeed a Hermetic document with a similar name, which is well known in Western Occultism, which says different things, mostly in regards to aliens.

My judgement of the mental state of "Drunvalo" is based on others' opinions of him, coupled with my own dealings with his "disciples" who have a large presence in the "new age" community here in my neighborhood. I know that these people give me a "strange" vibe, and that it isn't a "good" feeling. That, and I know for certain, that At least SOME of their information is entirely fabricated, which makes much of it suspect.

As far as "geometry" goes, they teach it in an essentially pythagorean manner, as it has been done for a long long time. As noted above, you can indeed learn sacred geometry from these fellows, but you should be careful not to take their explanations for the "meanings" of this geometry at face value, as they have something to SELL you (more books and cult membership dues).

In general I make it a rule not to trust "spiritual" teachings which require cash payments.

I also didn't link you to "modern" science sites, but rather about a dozen different takes on cosmology, several of which are directly relevant, in the sense of your question involving light, to SACRED GEOMETRY, especially the second link, which manages to describe it in essentially clear language.

You asked my opinion on light/hologram/geometry. I gave it, and I make no apologies for it. It does require an amount of reading, but the second document, one of the links from the first, isn't long or overly technical, being written for a general audience, mostly avoiding jargon whenever possible.

The general (very simplified) occult "practice" with this object involves using the repeating, bent space, non-euclidean version of this tetrahedron to "visualize" its unfolding into higher levels of reality, and "spinning" it, so to speak, in various manners as the method of "invoking" such spiritual entities. This practice is used by the ONA (the re-researching of which brought me to Jeff's blog, btw) among others, although the OOM people use it in a "lower" form, sans the black magick, for internal spiritual change. This is in line with normal sacred geometry and its "implications", and not one of the "fabrications" on OOM's part. Mostly these "falsehoods" are in regards to their history and the authority of their teachers, and their nonsense about space brothers and atlantis, either of which could exist, I admit, but there is no evidence to suggest that OOM has unique access to spiritual wisdom. I own several of their books, all of which are well written and seemingly "obvious", but have inherent flaws which are not readily visible. I should say that I did not realize this at first, as I took much of it at face value, only to realize later that although much of their information was sound, their conclusions were suspect.

-----

As to the "basics", you'd have to explain to me, exactly what it is I "don't know" about this subject, as I'm entirely confused on this point. There is much I do not know, but if you were more specific, perhaps it would help this dialogue.
