What exactly is what? The shape?
Its a geometric shape is what it is.

re: Star of David.

Actually, its the "seal of solomon". The star of David, is the symbol of the royal bloodline of Israel, now defunct, actually the five pointed star, commonly called the pentagram today. The seal of Solomon is NOT the star of David, although modern people call it that. The Seal of Solomon is an occult "binding" symbol, used to control being in the "airs" with the power of "God" coming down to meet man, in the interlocking triangles. The Solomon seal wasn't called the "star of David" until modern times, and this is a common mispereception, with even most Jews not understanding the importance of this.

I don't know who "drew" that picture, but I know that it is a common picture, so it doesn't really matter "where" it came from, per se, as it has existed longer than western civilization as a meme.

Personally, I believe that "Sacred" geometry holds lots of keys in regards to the relationship between Relativism and Quantum mechanics, as in your light question, and that mostly this involves Euclidean Geometry existing in 4Space.

Introduction to physics relevant in this discussion:

www.ma-at.com/cosmology/

especially:

www.friesian.com/curved-1.htm

------

A discussion on this deep level, will require background in basic physics and more than a background in the "occult" aspects of this geometry. I would love to attempt such a feat.

The "star of David" as you say, which occultists have called the Seal of Solomon for much longer, is, as stated above, a "binding" symbol, and is directly related to the sort of "communication" rituals I alluded to in my previous post.

Is there something else you had in mind?

All I have to do, is to be able to understand what has been said in some mythical new age document you see.

In fact I see lots of things in this "mythical document" which have been very simply and previously explained to me ( without the aid of a multiple link pile of fancy labelled scientific claptrap ( excuse my indignation), which might, if "modern science" chooses to 'go there' tell me many other things that I already know in my own mind to be also 'true'.

You can call that either a leap of faith, or trusting your sources. the links provided are only in regards to the background informations for "using" the star tetrahedron, and related objects in conjunction with the "esoteric" aspects of occult cosmology, and by no means are they inherently neccessary, although the second link is perhaps more relevant to this particular discussion, as to how quantum mechanics and gravity work together to make our "hologram" of a universe appear as it does.

My "opinion" on OOM is based on my personal cross referencing of their "information", which, while very prettily presented, often falls into new agey trends, such as the 2012 meme. It is also not a "translation" as their is no document it was translated from.

There is indeed a Hermetic document with a similar name, which is well known in Western Occultism, which says different things, mostly in regards to aliens.

My judgement of the mental state of "Drunvalo" is based on others' opinions of him, coupled with my own dealings with his "disciples" who have a large presence in the "new age" community here in my neighborhood. I know that these people give me a "strange" vibe, and that it isn't a "good" feeling. That, and I know for certain, that At least SOME of their information is entirely fabricated, which makes much of it suspect.

As far as "geometry" goes, they teach it in an essentially pythagorean manner, as it has been done for a long long time. As noted above, you can indeed learn sacred geometry from these fellows, but you should be careful not to take their explanations for the "meanings" of this geometry at face value, as they have something to SELL you (more books and cult membership dues).

In general I make it a rule not to trust "spiritual" teachings which require cash payments.

I also didn't link you to "modern" science sites, but rather about a dozen different takes on cosmology, several of which are directly relevant, in the sense of your question involving light, to SACRED GEOMETRY, especially the second link, which manages to describe it in essentially clear language.

You asked my opinion on light/hologram/geometry. I gave it, and I make no apologies for it. It does require an amount of reading, but the second document, one of the links from the first, isn't long or overly technical, being written for a general audience, mostly avoiding jargon whenever possible.

The general (very simplified) occult "practice" with this object involves using the repeating, bent space, non-euclidean version of this tetrahedron to "visualize" its unfolding into higher levels of reality, and "spinning" it, so to speak, in various manners as the method of "invoking" such spiritual entities. This practice is used by the ONA (the re-researching of which brought me to Jeff's blog, btw) among others, although the OOM people use it in a "lower" form, sans the black magick, for internal spiritual change. This is in line with normal sacred geometry and its "implications", and not one of the "fabrications" on OOM's part. Mostly these "falsehoods" are in regards to their history and the authority of their teachers, and their nonsense about space brothers and atlantis, either of which could exist, I admit, but there is no evidence to suggest that OOM has unique access to spiritual wisdom. I own several of their books, all of which are well written and seemingly "obvious", but have inherent flaws which are not readily visible. I should say that I did not realize this at first, as I took much of it at face value, only to realize later that although much of their information was sound, their conclusions were suspect.

-----

As to the "basics", you'd have to explain to me, exactly what it is I "don't know" about this subject, as I'm entirely confused on this point. There is much I do not know, but if you were more specific, perhaps it would help this dialogue.

drop the plural and check out this proabbly more authentic source:
Emerald Tablet of Hermes

the short form:
The Precepts of Hermes Trismegistus

1. What I say is not fictitious, but reliable and true.

2. What is below is like that which is above, and what is above is like that which is below.
They work to accomplish the wonders of the one thing.

3. As all things were created by the one word of the one being,
so all things were created by the one thing by adaption.

4. It's father is the sun, and it's mother the moon. The wind carries it in it's belly, and it's nurse is the earth.

5. It is the father of perfection in the whole world.

6. The power is strong if it is changed into earth.

7. Seperate earth from fire, the subtle from the coarse, but be prudent and circumspect as you do it.

8. Use your mind to it's full extent, and rise from earth to heaven, and then descend again to the earth.
Combine the powers of what is above and what is below.
Thus will you win glory in the whole world, and obscurity will leave you at once.

9. What I had to say about the operation of the Sun is completed.

==========
the symbols are, I would agree, a messed up seal of solomon (tho there are many varients of it), an ankh, and the eye of horus.

as long as I'm giving out links:
the kybalion

Halo, do you know much about the background on the kybalion? seal of solomon

Postby anotherdrew » Thu Nov 10, 2005 4:54 am

isn't this seal also sometimes refered to as the "key of solomon" ? Could this key/seal be a path to follow inside a qabalistic "cube of space" to reveal a particular sequence?

from my understanding of this, that is essentially the process, however it involves, from what I know, a repitition of this process from multiple angles, so to say. So as to draw multiple objects that create a "bigger" object, which varies depending on "what" the drawing is supposed to result in.

The ONA, of course, doesn't use the seal of solomon (yes, also the key of solomon, as in the medieval grimorie that established its common usage--now available in paperback at AMAZON)

The tetrahedron isn't the only 3 sided object upon which four sided objects can be "graphed", but it has its own peculiar "mystique" in occulture.

Thanks again to both of you for this. The picture is becoming ever sharper.

Also. Please forgive my guarded nature with some of this. I must respect the wishes of others who have tutored me on this whole subject.

Mucho questioning and consulting to be done based upon what Im reading here though

I was , btw, looking at the PBK website the other day. Where do these guys fit into the picture ? Sure looks like their territory to me
