'Solution To War In Iraq' on EBay--then gone

Postby pepsified thinker » Tue Jul 17, 2007 1:05 am

An army intel officer posted a solution to the war in Iraq on EBay--but now it's not listed and there's no indication of it ever having been there.

--except some copycat listings.

Here's the story:

What's this say about EBay, eh?

That they are pretty strict about deleting joke/fraud/illegal listings?

Seriously, ebay will delete listings pretty much only if someone complains about them, and often very unfairly. For example they'll delete pretty much anything described as being a CD-r, including legally self-published music etc, on the assumption that' it's pirated material. Doesn't mean they're THEM, just that someone/ones (indeed maybe the pentagon) complained about it and they deemed to to be against ebay rules and took it down.

Is there any archive of the listing? would be interesting to see for sure!
