The BNP is the british nationalist party, a small neonazi party that attempts to give itself a facelift now and again. Interesting he sported an "88" on one of his t-shirts. The documentary explains the significance of this: "H" is the 8th letter of the a'bet. 88 = HH. "Heil Hitler." <br><br>See, no Mengele stuff there. Just an 88. "88" is quite commonly used as code for "Heil Hitler". For instance, there's a (marginal) Norwegian neo-Nazi outfit that calls itself "Zorn 88". "Zorn" is Sanskrit and means "divine wrath". Possibly 15-20 years ago that was common, but quite rare these days. That particular breed belonged to the National Front who were the bog standard skinhead nazi that gets spotted in Germany and Russia. The BNP is capable of that but also lurks in the Tory party. Many's the exposed tory with bnp links that has been expelled and denounced as atypical, though its a common attitude with the elder 'Blue Rinse Brigade'. In effect the tabloids (some owned by Murdoch) promote an agenda similar to the bnp though it's now targeted at asylum seekers ie economic and political refugees. Dangerous times as it is now acceptable to stigmatise people in even 'respectable' company. <br> I suspect if you wish to see the European neo nazis at work then this years World Cup(soccer) will be of interest as it is in Germany and the old national divides are likely to cause trouble. <br> <p></p><i></i>

About 10 years ago I read the memoirs of a former neo-nazi. I've justried searching for it online with no luck. I'm pretty sure the title was, "Feuhrer X". Besides being a great source of insight into what psychological and moral difficulties can produce such grave thinking errors, it was laugh-aloud funny. I recommend reading this bio. He also showed what a pathetic, false bravado these nazis pour out. But he stressed the large numbers of wealthy Euoropean women, widows who were to this day holding fast and contributing lots of cash to the nazi cause. At any rate, lack of fathers and education seems to play a role in recruiting new nazis(similar to US gangs) I was left with a sense of hope for a number of these young Hitlerites, feeling that many were just so clueless and desperate to belong somewhere that it would seem kind of easy to help correct their errors. Now the "them" at the top I have no hope for. <p></p><i></i>

It was in a book called "Edward Maitland and Anna Kingsford", she actually saw all the trains and the horror, amazing. In another book about her (and I don't know if it is reliable) it was written that she died in 1888, and was very frightened of 88, and was anxious she would die then (she was only 44 or so at her death of pneumonia). She was a founder/member of the Hermetic Golden Dawn order and other such dubious occult groups and reading her bio indicated she was used by military/intel elements as a "medium".(possible case of MC before hi tech age)<br>--<br>After I read this stuff, about a decade ago, I always had a shiver when I saw 88...and i didn't know about the HH, Hitler connection at all. <br>--<br> <p></p><i></i>
