intruiging to me are all the scientists who died. especially that guy who "fell" off the bridge, and of course ivins.

Nordic,

I added your contributions to the main list, which I've done with all of the contributions. My objective is to have a comprehensive list in the OP with the details in the rest of the thread.

And yes, 8bit, potential hits disguised as "random" crimes are a solid addition to the thread!

Keep 'em coming!

Intriguing examples are littered throughout world history. Look at cases where the official position or story registers on the 'Carlos Santana Scale'.

What's the 'Carlos Santana Scale', you may ask? From the imperfect silence of my computer room I sing, " . . . I aint got no body, that I can depend on . . ."

Therefore Adolf Hitler and Harold E Holt are two that might figure on the list.

Not to go wildly off topic, but I've always wondered about that -- did anyone actually take any photos of the dead Hitler? Is there any photographic evidence of his suicide/death in that bunker?

You'd think that would have been RATHER important at the time.

Harding.

This is a good thread. It would be good at some point to go back and edit details and documentation into the posts.

Allegedly Hitler was buried under cement in some Soviet government courtyard, but was dug up in 1970 and destroyed completely. I don't know why they didnt just obliterate the bodies in 1945, heh.
I know a lot of top Nazis and scientists of course fled to Argentina and other parts of south America.

I still think Hitler was a puppet of an even higher more shadowy group, early or not.

Oh see the film "The Tillman Story", no doubt he was intentionally targeted and gun downed

Forensic analysis of the visual evidence for the entire bunker period is not easy. There are no independently verified and proven images of a dead Hitler. A fragment of skull, two teeth and the testimony of the NKVD were not enough to convince Stalin. (But c'mon Nordic he had to be dead right? How could he possibly survive arsenic poisoning, a gunshot wound to the head AND cremation? That's one inescapably deadly - fuhrer killing trifecta right there!!) Testimony from others in the bunker has the obvious flaw of being obtained from captives hopeful of being repatriated to Germany upon the approval of their hospitable NKVD hosts and has always been open to extreme doubt, however plausibly packaged. Western Allied 'confirmation' of events in the Bunker relies on the word of then MI6 officer,(later professor) Hugh Trevor-Roper so, no vested interest there either?

There's actually a lot of confusion as to whether or not these photos were of Hitler or of one of his doubles.
