Political slogans for your cardboard sign.

Postby barracuda » Fri Sep 30, 2011 1:24 am

Looking at all the cardboard placards at #occupywallstreet has gotten me interested in the terse literary potential for the point when, god willing, we'll all be physically joining the crowd. So I'm crowdsourcing the RI hive for epigrams, aphorisms, sigils, signs, slogans, and tag-lines relevant to the next presidential stealection or any other significant occasion, for that matter. Clever, pointed, angry, pithy, mean, longwinded, or absurd slogans for any candidate, party, political philosophy, global financial meltdown, or movement that you think may come into play in the year or years to come. Favorite anti-slogans, May of '68 upgrades, Cthulhu-based propaganda, and parasitic ant nematode bumperstickers welcomed as well, naturally. Post-conspiracy and sheer meaninglessness lovingly embraced. Do what you're good at - use the language toward interpreting and disseminating a message to transcend the situation, or to take advantage of it.

Personal Responsibility, not just for peons anymore.

Work harder -- Hundreds of Billionaires Depend on YOU!
(Rip off from a local annoyance reading "Work harder -- Millions on Welfare Depend on YOU!)

When we do it, it's called embezzlement.
Bookkeepers Against Corporate Bailouts

(Make up one for your own trade if it applies.)

and,

Deregulate The People
(Would make a nice back drop for a photo of a small person getting maced for existing on a sidewalk.)

"What if we DEMAND that NATURE be granted PERSONHOOD, just like CORPS?"
[the British] government always kept a kind of standing army of news writers who without any regard to truth, or to what should be like truth, invented & put into the papers whatever might serve the minister

"If you can read this sign, you're part of the 99%"

Admittedly, I envisioned this as a bumper sticker...

Not really for a cardboard sign, but a recent bumper sticker I made:

"Five Wars and Counting and you STILL have an Obama Sticker on your Car"
