It's not really as much a favorite as it is one of the relatively few examples of Scorcese's artistry that went right through me and stayed there the instant I saw it.
Along with the equally undiminished wish that he hadn't added the voice-over. That would have been awesome. Oh, well. They can't all be everybody's genius, I guess.

For me, I think it's really the I-can't-believe-I'm-hearing-any-part-of-"Layla"(-of-all-songs)-with-fresh-ears that just puts the movie-making into a whole other dimension and takes me along with it.
