FINDERS, Hamlin case

Postby Newsmakingnews » Sun Nov 06, 2005 7:37 pm

Hi
I think the spelling of Milly, first name Howard, that you have is incorrect re: Last name, and was given out as a misinformation by someone. I think Virginia McCullough has the correct spelling of that one.
Your comments are great!
Kate Dixon
NewsMakingNews.com

Finders, Hamlin and Fresno, CA

Postby Newsmakingnews » Sun Nov 06, 2005 7:40 pm

Hi

I lik your comments on this complicated issue.

What is your source for the Fresno, Finder's material?

You noted: "If you recall, the Finders case broke when two men were arrested with several ill-cared for children who were not their own. Their mothers, also Finders members, were in Fresno "working to rasie money for New Hope" (a retirement center in Kentucky. Why Fresno? I have no idea. Petty would send them all over the place at the drop of a hat"

If you can tell me the news citation or source of the above or the data dump or witnesses, it could be most helpful. The linkages on the Hamlin case to the Finders have not been proven in my humble opinion, at least regarding what I have seen. But the link to players in Fresno is definite.
Thank you for your time.
Kate Dixon
NewsMakingNews.com

Hey. Welcome to RI. My source on this is an excellent limited hangout (sorry for the judgment...but I'll tell you why I say this in a sec.) from the Washington City Paper. "In Search of the Finders, " Aug 12 - 18 issue, 1988 by Jon Cohen. Cohen now writes, I believe, on science issues for Christian Science Monitor...or at least did when I tracked him down and asked him to send this article.

Oh, crap. I'm really embarrased and I need to write Bradley. The article says "San Francisco", not Fresno. I got mixed up and I guess it was late. They aren't THAT far apart, but I'm afraid as far as leads go, that puts it way down on the list.

The mom's were there "working in business offices, earning money to help pay for 'New Hope.' (a retirement community in Berea, Kentucky...my first stop if I were writing a book on the Finders.)"

I'm pretty embarrassed by this error...and I'm sorry if it wasted much of your time.

While we're on it, let me tell you why I called this article a "limited hangout". I don't know how else to explain it. The author did a great job in getting lots of details. But there was nothing about the Customs Agent's memo about acquiring children from Hong Kong...and all that stuff (I can reprint it, but I'm sure you are familiar with it.) So I sent Cohen a copy of this memo to see if he thought it was real and he said it looked real to him. He said he'd seen "some" of the pictures and they were "no big deal." So he had no interest in the trafficking angle or any of that. It was just kinda strange.

Here's another little aside about the finders. I actually emailed Daniel Brandt about them because he'd written an article how they'd tried to horn in on his database program many years ago and were misrepresenting themselves (i.e. spying) to all kinds of groups www.astraeasweb.net/religion/cult.html (have to scroll down a ways to get to the part about Finders.)

Well, the rumor is, that reporter JOINED them. I can't prove that, but I did track him down and he writes for an Asian, English language web news service and I think several Finders spent time in Asia and many are probably there. This unsigned post on an indymedia board is interesting, but no proof. indymedia.org.nz/newswire.../index.php (got this link off Kathleen Sullivan's site...she has many of the docs on the case). I actually emailed him, but not surprisingly, I didn't hear back.

Quote:
The Finders cult group has moved to Taiwan, the group is suspected to be involved in pedophilia.
The Finders cult group has moved to Taiwan, the Taipei group is run an American Journalist who had researched them in the 1990's and became a convert. The group is expanding in Taipei now. They have affiliated themselves with orphanages. The American journalist tried to set up a branch of the Finders in Korea but was expelled in 1997 by Korean police under a cloud of accusations that he had undressed pre schoolers in his care and photographed them naked. There was no evidence found in his apartment or on his laptop but he was promtly deported and moved to Taipei. He is involved in efforts to smear various anti pedophilia groups using his status as a journalist. He claims that a friend of his,ex New Zealand Police Officer, Graham Cleghorn, was set up by anti pedophila groups in Cambodia.Cleghorn was jailed in Cambodia earlier this year.

Unsigned, unsourced...maddening.

I have LOTS of such info...but sadly, I misled you with the Fresno connection. I must have read the story about Susan and seen Fresno and then reread the article and gotten confused.

This is really important and I'm upset with myself for being so careless.

Hi. After posting the original case narratives--the judge would not allow Richard to add anything else. Meanwhile, the prosecution has used the media quite well to make Richard look like a psycho.

Brad

Re: Bradley,

Postby Bradley Mason Hamlin » Mon Nov 07, 2005 2:02 am

Yeah, that's me in the Open Wide interview ...

I said "impartial" because I don't want to come off as a blind supporter because I'm Richard's brother. He and I actually have a history of not getting along too well, and I've just been called in to testify, so that's not going to be any fun.

As for evidence of his side of things. Yes. I know his wife Susan very well, and I've read all of her writings pertaining to her molestations. There is NO DOUBT in my mind that woman was molested/raped horribly. As far as what she said about "Satanic" stuff, I really don't see that as the important issue, not for the trial. In the long term it will be interesting to see what comes out of hiding. Susan is lying. That much is true. The question is: How much is she lying? Therefore, per reasonable doubt--I believe my brother has served enough time. Susan is scared of her father, Sid Siemer. She is also scared of the police who told her straightout--they didn't believe her story. What was she to do? She saw an opportunity to avoid personal prosecution for her admission of molesting her own kids. What kind of a woman would admit to molesting her own kids--if it didn't happen? Now, on the other hand, Richard could also have been beating her, but if so, I believe she has taken whatever abuse happened and elaborated on it to try and keep Rick in jail for good. Once she lied, she had to go all the way. But her problem is: she recanted too much. She should have admitted she was molested AND said that my brother beat her. Then Richard would have no chance. But since her father isn't locked up--she had to recant all of the molestation story.

Re: Finders

Postby Bradley Mason Hamlin » Mon Nov 07, 2005 2:17 am

I'll try to answer your possiblities in order, based on what I know so far:

1) If Richard is insane--the psychiatrists haven't figured HOW he's insane, and he's not being tried as an incompentant. He's trying his own case. Yes, dark stories can be invented. Of course they can. I do it all the time. However, Rick does not. It's important to note: I did not see my brother at all or speak to him in any way during his problem period: 2000 to 2004. I got a call that he landed in jail and went to see him. I had my own falling out with Richard. Sibling stuff, not related to his case. Susan talked about writing a book about her abuse. She wrote many detailed letters that would make no sense to anyone but her. A handwriting expert has also signed off on the fact that the letters were not written under duress. I know someone who was abused in very much the same way that Susan described and she (Susan) shows ALL of the signs of a molest victim.

2) No hoax. All you have to do is come on down to Placerville, California. The trial is underway ...

3) I believe Sid is guilty of something--to what degree--I simply do not know anymore than I know how guilty Richard or Susan are. Michael Riconsquito (sp) told us he knew Sid Siemer and that Sid is military intell and a highly dangerous man. Strange and interesting ...

4) You may be right, but again, as his brother, I can tell you factually, that Richard is as sane as he's ever been. You would have to argue that he's always been insane. But aren't we all to some degree?

Edited by: Bradley Mason Hamlin at: 12/12/05 10:34 pm

Re: Howard Mily

Postby Bradley Mason Hamlin » Mon Nov 07, 2005 2:22 am

Howard Mily turned out to be a false name. One more concrete lie that Susan told. Sid actually gave up the correct name when mocking Richard to the police!!! Mily is Howard's wife! Howard's name is: Howard LaRue. He may have gone by Howard Mily as pseudo, but I too, could not find anything on him. I think the whole high priestess thing may have been some kind of carrot they dangled in front of her or totally baloney. They could have simply used Satanic imagery and/or programming when keeping Susan in line. Think about it, when your memories come back and you start saying: "I was in a cult ..." Who's gonna believe ya. Not the Placerville police.

Thanks for returning. Hope you saw my mea culpa earlier about Finders and Fresno...as in, I fucked up. I don't think anyone wasted too much time following up on that, I hope. The Finders women WERE in San Francisco, but those two aren't really THAT close so I'm not sure it counts as a lead anymore.

So Susan has all kinds of written accounts of abuse. I see the legal difficulty is that doesn't prove Richard didn't beat her! Hadn't really thought of it that way.

Is there a complete (as possible) bio on Siemer...just from what Richard knew or whatever? That would help. For example, where Susan lived at different ages (assuming she lived with her dad.) things like that. Makes googling tough. You said he worked for Darpa and other places so is that info somewhere accessible to us?

Oh, and possibility number 4 was supposed to read that Siemer is guilty as Richard claims. I think that got confused.

Edited by: Dreams End at: 11/7/05 12:01 am

I only found one interesting Howard LaRue:

www.jedproutymotorinn.com...tions.html

Quote:
Penobscot Books has a really fine selection of books pertaining to architecture and the fine arts as well as a good general assortment. Howard LaRue, a retired minister, collected books for many years before going into the business. For Howard, itâs a labor of love. Prices are reasonable. Call 207-548-6490.

www.eeconline.org/music/musichistory.htm

Quote:
Debbie Hunter, Music Director, was hired in 1981, and began her work under the supportive and gracious supervision of rector Howard LaRue (Emmanuel's rector 1969-1995).

So, probably not him, but the minister/rector thing raised flags anyway.

Re: Finders, etc.

Postby Bradley Mason Hamlin » Mon Nov 07, 2005 4:24 am

No problem on the Finders thing. The Finders is one of many groups that Sid could possibly fit into. Ted G. and Michael R. seemed to think there was a connection there. In terms of cult names all that ever came out from Susan was: "A Satanic cult called: the Royal Bavarians." But if you look up Royal Bavarians you'll get a bunch of Oktoberfest types and of course the Illuminati stuff. As far as Sid's jobs, he worked for (just retired) his own company Siemer & Associates, but before that it's a who's who of controversial companies (at least in terms of those jobs popping up in connection with supposed conspiratal angles. So again, strange. I will try to compile a list. He's an expert on plants and plant DNA. A source said that Sid was actually working on biological weapons in Indio. The other job names came from Susan, other family members, family friends, and Sid himself. He doesn't deny working for any particular place, but Susan denied in court that Sid had worked in Indio, CA where supposedly her worst abuse took place--during the time of the whole Indian Cabazon Wackenhut controversy was going down. See: The Last Cirle and The Octopus. Again, when asked, Sid freely admitted that he had worked in Indio during the 80s. So even between Sid and Susan they can't keep their story straight.

Edited by: Bradley Mason Hamlin at: 12/12/05 10:37 pm

The retired minister doesn't sound like it's him. We did locate Howard LaRue. Gunderson even talked to him. I don't believe much came from that, but he was highly defensive, as were many of the people interviewed.

Michael Riconosciuto? Indio?

Postby Rigorous Intuition » Mon Nov 07, 2005 10:37 am

This story's taking a weird and familiar turn, linking the cult to the Octopus.

Bradley, I'm wondering when and how Riconosciuto and Gunderson entered the picture. Do you know whether it was Susan, or R and G, who first mentioned Indio?

Re: Michael Riconosciuto? Indio?

Postby Dreams End » Mon Nov 07, 2005 11:38 am

I was a little concerned about Michael R. Anyone else know if he has a "Gunderson" type reputation. MR is the one who first mentioned Indio, I'm pretty sure from what I read. I think Bradley said he first contacted Ted G. but people warned them off and so they broke that off.

I don't know if this is your concern, Jeff, but these cases seem to have a pattern. They happen. It gets exposed. Alleged insiders/specialists come along and make all kinds of broader associations that are dubious or impossible to prove. The case gets discredited.

Or maybe you feel Michael R. is a solid witness? I admit I never completely unraveled all the Octopus stuff enough to have an opinion. IN this case, Michael R. kept sending letters to judges trying to get heard in the case and getting rejected. I think it's pretty unusual for a witness to lobby for inclusion in a case, isn't it?
