Homicide Cold Case Unit seeks the public’s assistance in the disappearance of Paresh Patel
Paresh Patel was reported missing in September 2000 and foul play is suspected.
The Austin Police Department Homicide Cold Case Unit has been working closely with the federal agencies involved in the Yassine Enterprises investigation. A local aspect of the investigation involves the unsolved 2000 disappearance of Paresh Patel, D.O.B 02-29-64. Hussein Ali “Mike” Yassine is considered a person of interest in the disappearance of Paresh Patel.
Patel was reported missing on September 26, 2000 and foul play is suspected. There has been no contact from Patel since September 25, 2000 and no reported sightings. Patel was last seen on September 25, 2000 at club Azucar; which was located at 400 Lavaca Street. At the time, Patel was a business partner in Yassine Enterprises and owned several local clubs: Azucar, Melagio, Metro, Chrome, Platinum X, and Treasure Island. The investigation revealed that Patel had a disagreement with business partners shortly before his disappearance.

Agreed. He lives in a town that's long been known for it's relative acceptance of people who use psychedelics. If he wanted to try it out, he wouldn't have to go far at all to find a peaceful & loving scene to initiate him. It's very telling that he lives in this environment and has never turned on.
