See, this is where Alex Jones shines.

Dammit, why does he have to make classic moments like this just after I got done posting how poisonous so much of his crap is.

"if you're checking in late may or early june, you wont be able to as black op commanders will be meeting to pick your next president"

...too classic.

Agreed, he really is a funny guy. I'm glad he has fun with the material, it's hard to be "on" all the time, it would get too depressing. Humor is a form of intelligence. I've been listening more lately and I'm realizing he's part comedian, part lawyer, and of course part pissed-off anti-fascist Texan.

(He's also part salesman, but couldn't they come up with a better name for the flagship product than "tangy tangerine"? It's impossible to take anything he says seriously when he mentions "tangy tangerine" every few minutes.)

No, I haven't. It is a psychedelic of sorts, but I haven't heard the greatest things about it. That's one that Sasha and Ann Shulgin said they're rather go without. And here's a bit from an erowid write-up about an experience:

"While ayahuasca, psilocybin, 2-ct's and MDMA all enhance and extend the psychic range and perception, I found just the opposite w/ 2CI. The psychic functions in the 3rd eye were completely blocked by this compound. Not only that, but the control of the visual internal spaces was random, so my internal imagery was not amiable to direction or awareness during the experience. Random energies and visual flashes just came up and then dissolved."

I won't ask where you heard that Sheen was taking it....

Anyway, I wish Alex Jones would take some psychedelic drugs. Maybe he'd get over being a capitalist.

Yep, providing constant wins for the fascists, as AJ bumbles his way thru, discrediting real issues and parroting pro-fascist disinfo: ooga booga .. socialism!

Yep, that clip reminds me why I used to love to watch his access TV show in the early days ... because of his comedic qualities reminding me of Bill:

Yeah I can see what you mean by that now smiley, but like wordspeak says, one major difference between Jones and St Bill of Hicksville is the shrooms.

Agreed RE: Jones is Jonesin for some shroomage.

I don't think Jones is actually "racist" any more than most bigoted folks in America. But his over-stuffed-ego certainly exacerbates the bigotry.

Oh, the dude annoys me sometimes with his rush to be right, and his constant rude interruptions of guests/callers. He apologizes all the time, but does it again and again. Its simple manners, and he has no control. He also rushes to conclusions and extensions. It does ruin all the good and funny/gate crashing he does.

I too think he'd benefit greatly from psychedellics (with an experienced person there not to put suggestions in his head, but simply to keep him from freaking out), but that'll never happen. He's too closed minded and hostle to the idea. He talks of people trying to get him to do it on occasion, but he is too scared. I too think it would broaden his mind immensely. Just one time.

I am about to listen to his 5/2 podcast w/ Steve Pachenic (sp? -9/11 exposer and Clancy inspiration). We have a thread on him here.

That Steve Pach(ok I forget how to spell it) seems like another fraud. "bin Laden was killed awhile ago", more of the disinfo.

Anyways, once again AJ shows his true colors. Check this out from today

Somehow an abusive, violent neo Nazi leader is rebranded as a "constitutionalist". Kind of like the Mexican protesters viciously beat

This isn't really an Alex Jones antic per se ... just wasn't sure where to put the note about this...

A couple months ago I heard news reports about a series of busts of downtown Austin night-clubs that were part of an alleged money-laundering sting operation:

Then some time last month - before the middle of last month (pre-April 14th) - I was listening to Alex's show and he went off on the latest attempt by the FBI to implicate him in wrong-doing, saying that one of his web-dev employees had done some work for these Yassine Enterprise night-clubs and that the FBI goons were trying to draw a link to Alex.

I thought I had written a note to myself about the date of this broadcast but so far haven't found one. Oh well.

I did find 2 articles about the Yassine busts with comments (one from the article editor and one from a 'random' commenter) noting Alex Jones - but not in this context:

It all gets a little darker with APD now trying to link a possible murder to the Yassine crew:

Agreed. He lives in a town that's long been known for it's relative acceptance of people who use psychedelics. If he wanted to try it out, he wouldn't have to go far at all to find a peaceful & loving scene to initiate him. It's very telling that he lives in this environment and has never turned on.

Agreed on all counts. He's admitted to trying pot but uses the classic "it makes me even MORE paranoid" excuse as to why he doesn't smoke it.

Considering how paranoid he truly is it doesn't surprise me that he'd resist doing psychedelics. He regularly references his efforts to insure that his operation isn't infiltrated.

But then, he is friends with Kevin Booth who would seem the perfect candidate for Alex to do shrooms with safely.

I had one of the most horrible and traumatic experiences last weekend from eating just a few THC oil cookies at a party. By the time my friends got me out I was in a nightmarish world and literally thought I was going to die. Definitely the definition of a 'bad trip', so that was my last forray with any mind altering experimentation. Though hats off to people for whom it works.
