This film is an edited version of a symposium held at Boston University on November 20, 1972 that explores the implications of the possible existence of extraterrestrial life within the galaxy and the universe. How interesting, Drew! I’m understanding now why some people, with whom I’ve been associated, have been interested in Mars and Carl Sagan over the last two decades. Their interest however didn’t seem to rub off on me until very recently.

An interesting question would be how large of a black hole would be required to store all the information in the video on youtube and at what rate would it be growing?

I’ve not a clue ! But, evidently, there are zillions of black holes to choose from, eh?

This is a full-resolution version of the NASA Curiosity rover descent to Mars, taken by the MARDI descent imager. As of August 20, all but a dozen 1600x1200 frames have been uploaded from the rover, and those missing were interpolated using thumbnail data.
