- Hear the LYRICS
It’s time to celebrate rainy day parades
All the music plays
And I hear you
Sometimes it makes no sense
Your grief your happiness
All the world’s a stage
And I feel you
I forever say goodnight
I forever lost in time
I forever light the light
And on and on...
A change is coming up
You’re running out of luck
Go and then you’re lost
I find you
There’s plenty going round
The path less traveled down
All the signs are gone
I guide you
I forever say goodnight
I forever lost in time
I forever light the light
And on and on...
When tragedy unfurls it spins around the world
Washed upon the shore
And I soothe you
When all your hearts are broke
When everything you know
Dashed upon the rocks
I love you
I forever say goodnight
I forever lost in time
I forever light the light
And on and on...
I forever say goodnight
I forever lost in time
I forever light the light
And on and on...

If you wish, read the sameness of today’s pop music to glimpse an expectation when preparing to listen to music from Mr. McCreary’s group, who’s ensconced in the music industry, and whose music was installed by Halverson for his video of magnificent astronomical images in time-lapse, above. One Ytube commentor is noted as almost saying: lose the lyrics; for which I’d ask, who’s speaking to whom in the lyrics? Is the piece a love song? Is the nature of evolution speaking to me?
The vocal harmonies were, I thought, very well balanced. But, with regard to the predominant, synthesized instrumentation, relentless bass line, and a passage of loud, crooning and screeching sound of electronic guitar, in my most humble opinion, are a consequent overreach producing a mismatch of music to visual. Less is more. C’est la vie.
Note Simon Wilkonson has composed the soundtrack for Mr. Halverson’s full-length time-lapse, for which the above vid is a preview.
