Six-hour UFO sighting over Milan

www.unknowncountry.com/news/?id=5137

Prominent Italian UFO Investigator Paola Harris reports from Italy: "Saturday night over Milan there was a Sighting of 5 Objects that lingered in the air from 11:00 PM till 5:00 AM and our TV news channels covered it. Like the Phoenix lights, no one knows what to do."
The story was covered on Italian Television and in the news media, and the conclusion was drawn that the objects were unexplained. Unlike the Phoenix lights, however, there were no US military bases in the area that could issue false claims of dropping flares, so the objects at this time remain a pure unknown.

Paola Harris also states, "something is in the air that tells me something " big" is about to happen," and Whitley Strieber agrees that this is possible. "From the beginning, I have speculated that extended interaction might start with a series of protracted appearances like this one over major cities. If this is correct, then the phenomenon will spread to other large cities in the near future."

Initially, witnesses assumed that the objects were stars, but they changed both color and shape, causing observers to call police and news media.

Strange but blurred

Postby Bismillah » Mon Feb 06, 2006 10:03 pm

Five objects, for six hours, over an exceptionally wealthy major European city.

Are there no professional photographers there? Does no Milanese amateur own a decent camera? Why are all the photos out of focus? (In fact: Why are UFO photos +always+ out of focus?)

There should be video...give it time and let's see what happens. It's REALLY hard to take photos of a lighted object in a dark sky...over or underexposed always...then, if you don't have a tripod you shake...and the more you zoom, the more the shake is amplified.

I went to the original article in Italian. I don't read Italian but I didn't see too much info. And no pictures...so where did the pics come from? Here's the whole article for any Italian speakers out there:

Quote:

www.tgcom.mediaset.it/cro...5068.shtml

Really poor Google translation:

Quote:
Milan: sight in the sky
Luminous points do not identify to you
A strange sight has been taken place in the sky of Milan. Little after the 23 of saturday some luminous points they have attracted the attention of various persons in the Lorenteggio-Bisceglie zone, in the periphery the West of the city. "I have seen five strange stars - a photographer says that has noticed the phenomenon and has photographed it - Are firm and then they move". On the place patrol of the municipal police is reached also one.
The phenomenon, than still has not found an explanation, has been noticed also from an exponent of the Movement consumers: "Next to the beginning we thought were alone stars - Alexander Miano explains - but then we have inasmuch as they were sfavillanti and of green and red color. Also they have changed more than once the shape ".

Anyway, where'd the pics come from? And when you digital zoom too close, you get all kinds of artifacts, so I'd want to know more about the photos. And the object..in fact, from this one tiny article it sure seems like Whitley's theory that they are "announcing themselves" is a bit overblown.

interestingly - i was recently informed about the Torah Code - somthing big IS supposed to happen feb 18th - Hmmm --The universe is certainly bigger than our little minds are ever capable of perceiving - but i do look for ways to strengthen my mind. Awareness and perception of the abstract and non-linear applications are certainly a key.

Strange that an Italian translation is needed twice tonight on RI - but the Agnelli article is a little more complicated so I'll just take a shot at this.

"A strange sighting occured in the skies over Milan. A little after eleven on Saturday night, a few points of light attracted the attention of several different people from the Lorenteggio-Bisceglie region, towards the West of the city. 'I saw five strange stars - said a photographer, who saw the phenomena and photographed it. They were standing still and then they were moving' This same area is also the council for the local police department.

"The phenomena, that as of yet has no explanation, was also witnessed by a member of the Consumers Movement. 'At first I thought they might be stars', explained Allesandro Miano, 'but then I saw that they were sparkling and changing color from green to red. They also changed shapes more than once.'

'Really, I don't know what to think' added the photographer."

Hope that helped. My Italian gets awfully rusty living in Kansas.

Orion In Mexico

Postby BajaSur » Wed Feb 08, 2006 6:11 am

I have to relate a expirence I had in Mexico at Christmas time.I went out the 1st night I was there and saw the exact same thing the people in Italy described. Only what I saw were the stars of Orion (the belt and the arms/hands mainly).
At first I thought I was seeing UFO's, but couldnt figure out why they would be in the same position of the Orion constellation. They pulsated from green(blue) to red and the brightest one seem to move around a bit . It was very strange it was like someone was moving it in a erratic circle ( much like a laser pointer jiggling on a wall).I had binoculars on a tripod, so that part was steady. There were other stars that did the geen to red pulsating, the most dramatic ones were close to the horizon. You could still see them pulsate even when they got higher though.
I noticed this every night actually, but didnt watch as closely as the 1st night(kind of lost interest).

My theory on what I saw: They spray chemtrails down there and they get that rippled effect most of the time. This shows me that EM waves are up there in the stratosphere and light somehow gets distorted thru them. This would help to explain the pulsating effect, but not the jiggling.I can't rationalize or explain that.I did talk to a good freind of mine that lives down there, he has notice the pulsating effect, he says it happens cause of dust and pollutants in the atmosphere. He is a retired engineer/inventor and is a pretty sharp guy(does'nt adhere to EM/scalar waves idea).
Since I have been back up in SF I have noticed that pulsating effect, but not as drastic as down there.

The chemtrail effect has some merit, but doesn't explain these lights moving around.

We've seen similar things in the desert south of Casa Grande, over the Tohono rez. They happened after weeks of chemtrail-free days, too, so that doesn't explain it.

And taking the word of a guy who
Quote:
says it happens cause of dust and pollutants in the atmosphere. He is a retired engineer/inventor and is a pretty sharp guy(does'nt adhere to EM/scalar waves idea)

doesn't explain the unexplainable, does it? --MaryK

Moving Stars

Postby BajaSur » Wed Feb 08, 2006 7:56 pm

First of all, Its nice to hear that someone else has witnessed this phenomena.Perhaps you could describe what you see out there in the desert?

Just because there is no chemtrails evident does'nt mean that there are'nt EM/scalar waves present.

Just to clarify, when I talked about this with my freind there was no mention about moving stars. His head might have imploded if I brought that up, this oldtimer is'nt open to such notions.I should had been more clear in my post.

chiggerbit, that link takes me to a United Airlines site 'fly TED' which blows my mind because thats the airline I went on for my trip.TED sucks by the way.

BajaSur, I saw one like that

Postby maggrwaggr » Wed Feb 08, 2006 8:49 pm

in Arizona, East of Phoenix in the Superstition Mtns.

It was very close to the horizon, at night, and sorta pulsated with red, blue, and white. Kind of plasma-like. Almost like police-light colors.

Hell, it could have been some kind of mirage from a police light miles and miles away I suppose, but it didn't change colors with any regularity.

That place is pretty spooky

Yeah, I know, and I have no clue where it came from. I was trying to post a pic I took of the moon a few days ago, through ImageMate or whatever it is, and got that. THEN I tried to edit delete it, and it wouldn't let me edit.
