Yes, quite. Could have been anyone. That name has been around since before today, but of course that doesn't mean it's an actual Black Power organisation.

Edited to add- DnC's right, no mentions before today. It was set up specifically to make that claim and get it sent around.

Second edit- Actually it was set up in Feb. The FB page is viewable in cache, some weird posts.

Right, but no other mention on the Internet...just a FB page? To me, this makes it highly suspicious considering the degree to which they censor the unwashed masses. I mean, they clearly state snipers, assassinations, etc. and nobody noticed?

Isn't it curious that the larger the Security-Surveillance-Industrial Complex grows, the more the U.S. security establishment's ability to monitor average citizens, the more domestic terrorist events we have? Not to mention, the astounding coincidences of these events such as 11 officers shot on 7/7, 11 years after 7/7...

yesterday...11 days till the republican convention
Mazars and Deutsche Bank could have ended this nightmare before it started.
They could still get him out of office.
But instead, they want mass death.
Don’t forget that.

Why don't the cops just stay home the next time there's a peaceful protest with no crimes being committed? Whoever said cops need to be at a peaceful protest?

WTO protests 1999. I have said it before but the people that did all that vandalism were not with the protest but were provacateurs. They were there to "test drive" police state tactics for the neoliberal cause. I wasn't nearly as attuned to thinking this way back then. But I could see it in the vandals' eyes. They were not there with the great majority. I'm trying to think of some other thing that happened recently where a number of police here were identified as inciters. Gah. Can't remember it.

Anyhow. I wasn't there for the protest (WTO). I just walked down to check it out. Got out just in time because I noticed an eerie silence come over the crowd, thought something wasn't right and minutes later that is when the gassing commenced.

CBS NEWS just said, that the Dallas police department used a robot to blow up one of the suspected shooters...
I'm still trying to comprehend that...

Laws. Because of laws. Public safety is mandatory.

Anyways, tentative "BREAKING" froth from the serious journalists at LA Times:

The suspect was identified as Micah X. Johnson, 25, a resident of the Dallas area, two U.S. law enforcement officials said.

Johnson had no known criminal history or ties to terror groups, the official said, and has relatives in Mesquite, Texas, which is just east of Dallas. The official said federal agents were assisting Dallas authorities in the investigation.

Brown said a hostage negotiator spoke with the gunman at length before he was killed about 2:30 a.m.. The chief said the attacker said he was upset “with white people” and with recent police shootings. The suspect also said that he was not affiliated with any groups and that he acted alone, Brown said.

Heeere it comes! Blue Lives Matter is now becoming a thing. As said above, this is going to be one long hot summer. Ideally this destroys the NRA but I doubt it. Trump's remarks when they come are going to make us all want to blow our brains out.

How has this happened in such concerted effort? Et al.

A question I saw asked elsewhere: "is this what it looks like when citizens exercise their second amendment rights against perceived tyranny?"

How the fuck did the dude "killed by the robot" not hear it coming? I imagine those things are slow moving and make noise. If he was holed up in a parking garage, were there cars on that level? Parking garages have ramps. So it had to navigate the labyrinthine route. He could have dropped his gun and run right past it as it was not in position to "detonate" whatever it is those robots do. I don't know how that kind of shit works. But that's how I'd do it in a video game.
