Ann gives Pixel pets and head-scratches occasionally, distractedly.
Link: (pours Boo Berry into pyramid) Every grain of sand is a dead Pac-Man.
Ann: When he opens his mouth, where does the yellow go?
Beleth: Hilbert space. A Purrr state.

Link puts down empty box, picks up pouch of dirt, unties draw-string.
Ann: Is that like purrrgatory?
Link: (pours dirt into pyramid) The qubit state is like purrrgatory. Where you're simultaneously alive and dead.
Ann: Sounds like an everyday place for everyday people.

Link: (puts down empty pouch, picks up Reaper Orb) It is. (drops Reaper Orb in) And it was.
Beleth: But now you're in a quantum supurrrposition.
Link: I am. (picks up Maru Mari) It's a purrradox. (drops Maru Mari in)
Ann: I think you're doing magic on me.

Link: (picks up Rat Tail, feeds it in) I can't help it, cats like to play with string.
Beleth: Link doesn't do magic. He practices spooky action at a distance.
Link: (picks up mason jar, unscrews cap) My tentacles reach out for you. (pours squid ink in)
Beleth: (looking down at Athame) Isn't the Dancing Knife sharper?
Link: Yes. However... (picks up Athame) the Athame of Souls has a cat on it. (shows hilt to audience)

Ann: (not quite a question) Even with all the changes, you still have to bleed.
Link: (science professor tone) For when the pyramid passes through the Chaos Ring. This way, when
I split into three bodies, the pyramid
also splits in three.
Ann: (softly, looking up, giving Pixel distracted pets) oh.

Both his words and manner of speech seemed at first totally unfamiliar to me, and yet somehow they stirred memories - as an actor might be stirred by the forgotten lines of some role he had played far away and long ago.
