The USA is a rogue nation. It doesn't deserve elections free from foreign interference, it deserves multiple trips to the Hague.

Hillary belongs in prison. Barry belongs in prison. Bush and Cheney belong in prison. US leaders have done war crimes and crimes against the peace for the last few generations and beyond, yet they remain unpunished. Kissinger still walks free, ffs.

I don't give a flying fuck if US citizens (and most of the rest of the world with them) think Hillary would be a vastly superior prez to Trump. She belongs in jail. I don't give a fuck that Hillary would make more abortion-friendly Supreme Court picks. US citizens don't deserve to have their fine liberties maintained. They deserve to go through a patch of hell until they find it within themselves to take back control of their country and until they stop trying to control the rest of the world.

And that doesn't mean I support Trump. Both Trump and Hillary should have been ruled out well before now, and it's not too late to rule them both out now. Trump has been the designated loser from the beginning, and what Assange is trying to do is rule Hillary out. It's not a matter of him doing this for self-serving reasons. He's doing it to serve the world. Because the USA is a rogue nation. See?

If you support Hillary, you support the ongoing crimes of the US empire. Simple as that.

Waaaaay too much "somebody said" going on. I fall for it too often myself. In the spirit of not shooting messengers here's the email in full: https://wikileaks.org/podesta-emails/emailid/2038

It's clear that the email from Blumenthal to Podesta is him quoting an article, in full, with a link to the article at the top. That's it. Period. Not sure how "The Russians" is a worthwhile characterisation for Newsweek to make, apart from Sputnick International propagating sloppy and/or mendacious journalism.

LOL I think this whole email thing explains why Americans have so much difficulty following the details and making informed decisions. When you have quasi-news sites distorting the same story in both directions, it gets confusing. Most people just throw up their hands and vote the same party they've always voted for.

Robert, I feel what you are saying about Assange. I don't trust his motives, but I can't help and look at the information he's provided. He certainly has a vendetta against the Clintons and Obama, but does that translate into a like of Trump? For us pleebs, it's a damned if you do, damned if you don't position. If we were all sufficiently outraged at Hillary, then likely Trump would win. Does anyone really want that?! Yet, it feels icky to give Hillary a free pass.

At this point I'm just preparing to oppose an occupying force. It's a twisted world when your own party becomes the enemy.

I'm just going to keep voting for greens and socialists for the next fifty years while the rest of Americans work out the recurring nature of this cycle for themselves.

Morty, you don't support Trump, nor Hilary, and Assange isn't running, so do tell, what is the way forward on Nov. election day?
If you are proposing something that sounds like the title to A Rage Against the Machine song, well we know that isn't going to happen either.
So, mmh, what is the solution?
I assume you are either a U.S. citizen who is choosing to pretend they don't mind if their fine liberties are maintained, or are a subsidiary citizen of the U.S.A. war machine whose own branch managers (leaders of your country) made their deal with the devil long ago. If the USA has gone rogue, it has taken half the world with it.

These may have been the "contingency plans" referred to in the subsequent Wiki tweet.

Even former outspoken Trump advisor Roger Stone got involved tweeting that "John Kerry has threatened the Ecuadorian President with "grave consequences for Equador" if Assange is not silenced" adding that "Reports the Brits storm the Ecuadorian Embassy tonite while Kerry demands the UK revoke their diplomatic status so Assange can be seized."

Longtime lurker here. One of my favorite happenings online is coming home after a long day at work to see a thread that exploded to 5 pages since noon. :yay
Chances are, there's some juicy content, high drama, big developments and/or name calling going on! :jumping:

So here's a brief love bomb of appreciation for everyone present in this thread and on this site.
Whether currently on time-out, permanently banished, or not. To Wombaticus for doing the awesome deed of referee/ time keeper. Someone's gotta do it! To MacC whom I had the pleasure got to meet IRL this summer, to Harvey for the "Hecho En Mexico" link, to Nordic: I'd love to be your fb friend, and to everyone else for doing your thing.

Cheers!

Yes, a subsidiary citizen here.

There is no solution at present. I've got nothing (apart from proposals that sound like a title to A Rage Against the Machine song).

Hillary will be voted in on election day. It will be a glorious triumph. The first female President, who begins her first term with the blood of thousands already on her hands. Then business as usual, a finger in every pie, with a veneer of social justice-y type banter disguising a government budget dominated by military spending.

But the song lyrics that popped into my head today are these:

The roof, the roof, the roof is on fire,
The roof, the roof, the roof is on fire,
The roof, the roof, the roof is on fire,
We don't need no water let the motherfucker burn,
Burn motherfucker burn.

It's ironic to see some on the left who supported Wikileaks when they were exposing Bush, to now be calling him a heinous traitor because he's now
exposing just how deeply corrupt the Clinton machine is.

I wonder how this same left feels about top DNC field organizers admitting that most the violence at Trump rallies is staged by mentally ill people the DNC pays?

Donald Trump regularly incites political violence and is a serial liar, rampant xenophobe, racist, misogynist and birther who has repeatedly pledged to ban all Muslims — 1.6 billion members of an entire religion — from entering the U.S.

oh and he is also a child rapist

Bill Clinton and Hillary Clinton combined are behind the mass murder of hundreds of thousands of people from Bosnia to Iraq to Libya. Bill Clinton is a serial rapist, whose victims his Presidential candidate wife has repeatedly attacked. Bill Clinton's racist 90's crime bills lead to a generation of African American and Latino men being put in prison for life, a law Hillary supported as she referred to black teens as "super predators"....Oh, And Bill Clinton is close friend's with billionare pedofile Jeffrey Epstein

Im not defending Trump, Im just wondering if Hillary is the actual "lesser of two evils".
And on racism, the Clinton's white house chef has come out saying that Hillary regularly referred to black staff as the N-word

Again I don't see why the left is crying foul over Assange and Wikileaks, when they were cool with Wikileaks exposing the Bushes. Clinton, almost more than Obama, is the extension of the Bush neocon
foreign policy doctrine. Instead of denying the insane corruption the hacks are exposing, all the Clinton campaign and their surrogates can do is say "It's the Russians! Don't believe them!". CNN the other night saying
it was illegal and unethical to even read the leaks.

Daniel Elsberg and anti war activists of the 1960s were exposing war crimes and corruption under not just the then early Nixon administration, but the "Democratic" rule of LBJ. I don't get
team sports. I've exhaustively in my nine years here lamented how much evil Russia has done. Including, currently in Syria. But I am of the opinion that what matters isn't Putin's character in the leaks, but
what is in the leaks.

I guarantee if Putin was behind leaks that exposed Trump, the left would be celebrating him suddenly. Sad the White House wants to go to full on cyber war with Russia over these Wikileaks

"The far left!"??? ...LMAO!

: The Law waits for you to stumble on a mode of being, a soul different from the FDA-approved purple-stamped standard dead meat — & as soon as you begin to act in harmony with nature the Law garottes & strangles you — so don’t play the blessed liberal middleclass martyr — accept the fact that you’re a criminal & be prepared to act like one.

Like quickly, before some real stinkin evidence gets dumped about Hillary

Hillary should be in jail, so should Trump, and Putin, and Tony Blair, and yo mama
