Lying

Perverse satisfaction

Postby Col Quisp » Sun Mar 12, 2006 3:29 pm

I'm satisfied that he's gone because he was constantly posting drivel, not to mention his anti-semitic Makow worshipping nonsense. I'm satisfied because it sends a message to others who are dragging this place down to a "yee-haw" level that the rules here have teeth.

If that makes me an "oink oink" then so be it. Pigs are very intelligent creatures!

Organized disruptions

"Thumperton's actions seem designed to pull the blog down, and he and his little clique were probably holding their hands in front of their mouths as they giggled together like a gaggle of nasty little girls. Good riddance."

A couple of groups to be aware of, LUElinks and it's ugly cousins YTMND. These are but two of several loosely knit organizations comprised of youth who go around joining Forums like GLP and others whose subjects may include ufology or those with similar "alternative" interest. They are sometimes quite clever, weaving stories and often working in pairs or groups. They can rarely keep their true motives hidden due to excessive ego needs.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ytmnd

I have personally seen threads at YTMND attempting to launch organized troll attacks on a UFO forum. Re: Board front page tactics-thread titles and displacement.

Postby Hugh Manatee Wins » Sun Mar 12, 2006 7:20 pm

The RI board is now getting 'thread title disease' and displacement of other threads simply by all of our discussing it here.

By way of illustration, as I point this out, I just kicked "There's a girl..." back to the top of the front page. Let us move on and take our discussion to other threads.

Pissed Off Cabbie wrote-

Quote:
About this thread- I pointed out the lie so people can stop having their time wasted like that. There is an anvil hanging over our heads, and we have to figure out how to avoid it when it falls. I'm tired of seeing serious discussion boards dragged down to a high school level. It's a major reason why a lot of folks avoid them.

When you see puppy photos here, take it as a reminder of what is REALLY important and how this board looks and works.

Wheat/chaff ratio online is getting worse and we are given ways to shoot ourselves in the foot instead of dealing with "the anvil over our heads."

Wanna discuss this? Wendy's

Postby Synthetic Zero » Mon Mar 13, 2006 9:29 am

The last three times I've gone to Wendy's I've tried one of their various chicken sandwiches and each time they have been pink inside.
