DIFFICULT THREAD -- #BIDEN SHOULD WITHDRAW
1. I respect the will of the voters.
2. But new information has emerged supporting #TaraReade's account of being sexually assaulted by #JoeBiden.
3. Credible rape accusations are disqualifying or we have NO moral standards.
4. Defeating Trump is NOT OPTIONAL.
5. To avoid potential catastrophe in Nov., #Biden should withdraw.
6. #Warren, #Harris, #Klobuchar, #Buttigieg, #Castro, etc. could replace Biden.
7. #Bernie can restart his campaign.
8. We can reboot the primary and give voters a choice.
9. This is the ethical position AND the smarter strategy to beat Trump.
10. We lose ALL moral authority if we embrace "the lesser of two accused rapists."
11. Polls show other Dem candidates can win.
PRINCIPLES MATTER. WE CAN BEAT TRUMP AND PROTECT OUR VALUES.

I've been told Daou truly had a change of heart but of course do not believe it. Still, it's nice to dream.

I DON'T GIVE A SHIT
If the establishment shuns me.
I turned 55 today. I've spent the past 20 years fighting the far right.
I've seen Dem leaders enable, normalize, and rehabilitate criminals like Bush, Cheney, & Trump.
I've seen kids in cages under both parties.
I've had it.
Joe Biden named a committee on Thursday to begin vetting candidates for vice president – bringing his 2020 campaign one step closer to naming a running mate.
The presumptive Democratic presidential nominee’s longtime friend, former Sen. Chris Dodd, Cynthia Hogan, who served as his counsel in the Obama administration, Rep. Lisa Blunt Rochester of Delaware and Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti will serve as national campaign co-chairs, his campaign announced in a statement Thursday.
“Selecting a vice presidential candidate is one of the most important decisions in a presidential campaign and no one knows this more than Joe Biden,” campaign manager Jen O’Malley Dillon said in a statement. “These four co-chairs reflect the strength and diversity of our party, and will provide tremendous insight and expertise to what will be a rigorous selection and vetting process.”
Biden has said he intends to pick a woman as his running mate and plans to do so before the Democratic National Convention in August.

Here's who oddsmakers say is Joe Biden's female veep frontrunner
Among those expected to be on the list are former primary presidential rivals Sens. Kamala Harris of California, Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts and Amy Klobuchar of Minnesota, Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer and former Georgia gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams.
But a Politico/Morning Consult poll released earlier this month found that a majority of registered voters think Biden should select someone with legislative or executive experience over picking a woman or person of color.
The survey found 66 percent opt for a vice president with executive experience and 67 percent want someone with legislative experience, while 29 percent want him to choose someone based on gender and 22 percent based on race.
