Quick update: I just received my second shot of the Pfizer/Davos vaccine (I got the second shot in the other arm for optimal 5G coverage), and I can already hear Bill Gates whispering in the back of my mind (uuuuseee Eeeedgeeee. Buuuyyyy Gaaaameeeepaaaass). I haven't decided on a data plan yet, but I'm leaning towards SorosTel. They have very reasonable rates if you allow push notifications.

As was posted on my twitter page and reproduced here, far up thread, one family member had a heart attack caused by blood clotting three days after receiving the Pfizer 'vaccine.' He was rushed into hospital for major surgery. He's recovering but remains generally unwell. I sincerely hope that doesn't happen to you. Good luck!

All I did was voice my disgust at co-opting the yellow star, a symbol of one of the worst crimes committed in human history. I'm fully aware of all the shit going on, but I still think comparing it to Nazi fucking Germany is stupid levels of hyperbole. We are all smart enough to know vaccine passports are not the same thing as children (or adults) being kidnapped, raped, beaten, starved, raped, starved and then experimented on.
We all know the yellow star they were forced to wear on their clothing isn't the same as a vaccine passport which limits your travel, where you can eat, what/where you can purchase goods and services or attend public events. If you can't see the similarities and understand how both are evil then you maybe your screen name here is appropriate. It doesn't require a lot of imagination or insight to understand how discrimination began in Germany and how it's similar to what's happening in Australia and to a lessor, but still fucked up degree here in the U.S.

Nobody on RI has stated ( I don't think ) that what is happening now is genocide. The populace must be fully fear driven and mass hysteria created for it to all begin, which it has. I'm aware of of the things Karma mentions, still doesn't make it a good comparison, unless you genuinely think we might be heading towards an actual, intentional genocide of the unvaccinated, in which case all I can say is: get help. And it still doesn't compare, as one group was by birth, the other by choice. Unvaccinated are being targeted because they don't want to do something, the Jews because they existed. It's not exactly the same thing.

Aside from that, my gripe is just as much with co-opting a powerful symbol from one thing and applying it to something different. You're trivializing what the symbol means. Make your own damn symbols you lazy bums. Also buy Microsoft products.

How so, specifically?
I don't see how the entities driving current coercions/mandates are influenced by rhetoric one way or another.

No one here is suggesting a genocide is taking place at the moment. As I indicated previously, however: ostracism, blatant discrimination, and otherism is in full swing, and in my view likely hasn't yet peaked.

What do we call what we're observing, right now?
Certainly not a 'democracy' (or whatever iteration of faux-democracy we had in place prior to late 2020), not when mandates are doled out by decree; not when jobs and livelihoods are lost simply for refusing experimental medical interventions.


But there is a possibility wide-scale vaccination programs may well have severe detrimental impact to mortality rates within the next ~couple years (and if these vaccines turn out to negatively impact fertility rates as some prelim findings suggest, the impact to populations will expand beyond the current/near-term generations).
Given the data coming out of Israel right now, this coming flu season will be a noteworthy bellwether for 2022-beyond.

Let's hope it doesn't come to pass, though there are scientists/doctors in the field expressing similar concerns.

Will be interesting to revisit this in ~6 months.

Nobody is claiming that everyone who gets vaccinated dies, gets sick, or even will face as yet unknown long term heath risks. I have never claimed this, and I sure hope it is not true. I wish everyone who made the choice to vaccinate the best of health. If somebody here were simply to provide me with the relevant data of the overall better health outcomes of vaccinated populations vs, comparable unvaccinated populations over the past few months, I would be more than happy to join your superior race.

But what you forgot to add was "I made the choice to be vaccinated, and I'm perfectly fine with stripping you of your human rights unless you can produce the phone app QR code that proves that you made the same choice."

That's an opinion. Let's see how events transpire in the next 6 -12 months and see if we're further removed, or closer, to the sentiment behind that symbol.

While the following is nothing more than the opinion of a single individual, someone i've gotten to know well over the last ~6 months (a parent who attended school board meetings with me and others) is Jewish and has absolutely, and explicitly, offered similar comparisons with 1930s Germany (and she lost family members as a direct result of German govt actions during that time) during 1-on-1 conversations with me. She's appalled by current escalations, and particularly, the acceptance of these draconian measures by fellow colleagues at her University. She holds a PhD in clinical psychology, and is no fool.
