Re: Percival
Didn't see this until now, apologies.
Simulist echoes the sentiments. And gotta say, my Percival Counter is clicking madly.
Especially since we're losing c2w again shortly, I'd rather not gain a Percival. Thumbs up, thumbs down on "Hackivist" - what say you all?

At least he provided us with an entertaining meltdown, and let compared stretch her legs a bit. She's a fucking champion, I tell ya.

Re: Percival
Yeah, she done herself proud once more.
I promised her I'd throw the switch on her account again around midnight eastern time unless she wired me a change of heart. None has been forthcoming, so I'm off to perform the deed.
The worst part of this job is deactivating that woman!

Re: Percival
Why does she want her account deactivated? Why keep taking off? I liked how she nailed the hacktivist to the wall...
And glad Percival decided not to continue emailing me. I never did hear from him again.

Partly I think to help manage her time, so the place doesn't consume too much of it. And partly to keep herself a moving target.Peregrine wrote:Why does she want her account deactivated? Why keep taking off?

He's joined multiple times under multiple aliases, and I bet he's already here anyway. But no, he's not welcome back as far as I'm concerned.

Re: Percival
If you spot him, ban him. He's a notorious confabulator, up to no good. And I agree with Jeff that he's almost certainly still here under one or more names. Odd timing.

Re: Percival
Just a heads-up that Ianeye has been PMing me suggesting that Alchemy might be Percival.
Frankly, I don't see it, but I figured I'd float it up the flag pole here. The tone doesn't seem similar to me. Neither does the writing style, and they don't seem to be promoting similar ideologies either.
Alchemy has made every post from a single IP, and it doesn't match any of Percival's multiple IPs.
Whattaya think?

Re: Percival
I dunno. I suppose I don't think so, but I know Alchemy's binge-posting on Luka Magnotta set off a bunch of alarms. Though the single IP is certainly in his favour. Bears watching, but I don't think we need to rush to judgement.

Re: Percival
Alchemy behaves more like a managed personality than a sock. In that way, I am reminded more of eyeno than of Percival. The invitation to dwell on and discuss killers like Magnotta and Holmes is a typical function of managed personalities as is the 'big question' thread on a dangerous subject like Fascism. These are the internet equivalent of the Fair Play for Cuba ploy. And just in case Alchemy is reading this, and if it is a managed personality, it is one of the best run I have seen. Either it isn't one, or it is a masterful one. Not much in between.
