The posting history is interesting. They have always been straightforward, sometimes to the point of rudeness, but generally on topic and made some sort of contribution. There is a cluster of posts in Fall 2010 after which they rapidly decline in quality and become more aggressive. This last post seems to be the culmination of that process. At first glance, the trigger seems to have been a thread on abortion that got quite heated.
