"Her" was in fact about "him", true, in that it was a love story for men.

I can't remember the last time I saw one of those that was any good.

Most love stories these days are the worst kinds of what are usually referred to as "chick flicks".

I thought "Her" was so non formulaic in its execution, that it amazed me. Very intelligent and just the right amount of futuristic.

Did you see "Enough Said"? Excellent middle-age romance...James Gandolfini's last or next-to in a very atypical role for him...Highly recommended.

Caught "Turbo Kid" last night, strange and superb film. Strong similarities in tone with that recent jam "Kung Fury," but sweeter, gorier, and more ambitious. I saw a lot of hype about how good it looked for a low budget film, but my fuck, it didn't look remotely low-budget at all. The seams between high-quality cheap cameras and high-quality cheap CGI are really approaching invisibility, this is probably a great time to be in film.

You know, aside from the fact nobody makes any money.

Going to check out a bevy of horror films tonight but I don't think any of them are Of A Certain Quality, going in.

good ol interwebs - took me 3 minutes to find a free hd showing of Nightcrawlers... wtf just too much to say about the antihero/noir movie of the decade ,brilliant ,dark, sociopathic keeping you guessing till th end BUT secretly knowing that he will get away with it as some people do - will there be a sequel? no question....shame

Watched it last night - Trigger warning for sure but an excellent documentary and such an amazing man, dude, total mensch...Would love to see Bobcat get at least an Oscar nomination...

I just wish it had ended in the basement, before all the eulogies which made me think "Is he dead then?"

& I kind of prefer it when outstanding films get overlooked.
