Doesn't it always come down to money?
Archeologists that start revealing information that defies the status quo will lose funding.
Older civilizations are starting to appear obvious- but the field has a long ways to go to "legitimize" such claims.

Im always encouraged when I listen to Hancock, because firstly what he's saying makes all the sense in the world to me.

More than that however he appears to understand the fact that many of todays younger intellectuals are no longer falling for the big cultural lie that is being inflicted on all of our lives . From what I can gather, Hilary is struggling hugely amidst the youth in her presidential.campaign

As for the rest of it, like Hancock , im grateful to the Universe for providing me with the gift of life. Like him I also feel with a great degree of certainty, that physical death is not the end, and that were all in this for the long haul, so we'd probably better make the best of being the best we can be.

Thanks for the kind sentiment, and most days I am at peace fortunately.

Thanks for the links OP, gotta set some time aside to dig in. I've been sitting on an open tab with that collective evolution article for days now... Now tons of video links to add to the head. One of Hancocks pet theories, which is as always hard to argue against when you look at the evidence, is that these Ancient and clearly advanced civilisations, made frequent use of tryptamine laden entheogens. You know, those dirty nasty drugs which the body actually produces .

I listened to the audio book of Hancock's latest work and I found the geographical info particularly interesting. Massive portions of western Montana were covered by glacial Lake Missoula during the Ice Age. When the lake broke its ice dam it sent unimaginable amounts of water cascading into Washington and Oregon, altering the landscape in ways that can still be seen today. I can't explain it in an interesting way like in the book, but I'm quite familiar with these areas and the whole thing just kinda blew my mind.
