Moderator Appreciation Day

Post by BrandonD »

Sometimes I pop in here and it's a bit of a madhouse. Sometimes I can't think of a single way to contribute that wouldn't potentially make the situation worse.

So I thought it would be worth acknowledging the difficult job of the moderator. In here, as well as in whatever other forums us folks with overdeveloped intellects and underdeveloped emotions like to frequent.

Thanks guys and gals, I don't envy your job but it is appreciated.

Seconded, even when there's some incoherence in the chain link fence of emotive reactions a lot of signal gets through thanks to the curation of the threads

don't know where else on the internet to find exactly this

An excellent moderator, a (personally) very valued contributor of extraordinary material, one who points to things one often cant see oneself, wonderful writer and a creator of amazing music... and a Good Egg.
Cheers, Wombat :thumbsup

For real on the appreciation. It's gotta be a thankless job 99%+ of the time, not to mention compensationless 100% of the time.

I'm always impressed at how WR's moderation walks the razor's edge between evenhandedness, righteous ire, pithiness, and obscure paranoid woo for some RI flavor.

Truly a crisis genuine article among mere crisis actors.

Weird; just last night I was talking with the Mrs about how much time Wombat must put into this space and how he's pretty much single-handedly keeping the ship on course since Jeff put his feet up (or so it seems)....
