As far as anti-psychotic drugs go .... I've seen them turn people into maniacal self mutilating lunatics.
Anti psychotic and anti epileptic drugs are fucking SCARY. They are truly dangerous shit.
But who knows what was wrong with this guy. Meth? Christian Bale, who just beat up his own mother, and used to be a nice decent guy, has been doing meth.
Staying up for days can make you go crazy and hear voices.

I was thinking grapevine, since it seems that report might have extended the duration of the stand-off from three to six hours, but then I remembered the witness describe having seen the killer not only beheading the victim, but also "pretty much gutting him up." On a televised report he added that it looked like something one might do to an animal. This article might be extrapolating from that statement. On the other hand, if he's going that far, cannibalism might not be too far behind.
Never mind; now I see this:
"We have word from people on the scene . . . that when the killer was alone with the body . . . that there may have been some small acts of cannibalism on the body," Oliver said.
Oliver said that police have not confirmed that, but have not denied it either.

Holy Christ that's one of the most disturbing things I've read recently
I remember when the RCMP claimed that "17 al Qaeda kids" planned to blow up buildings and behead Prime Minister Harper(turned out it was a government staged sting op entrapment)

Hey, Hollywood's top star Shia Lebeouf pretty much almost killed a woman
with his drunk ass plowing his SUV in an intersection colliding with her car.
The two biggest movies next year, Transformers 2 and Terminator Salvation star these two guys.

worldwide involving Ice, PCP, ect where THE most what-the-fuck unthinkable acts of pure depravity occured. I won't even mention them.
I think you are on the right track here, but in my experience, PCP does not readily accomodate a nice ride on the bus, or the ability to enter into casual conversation with strangers while appearing normal. Rather, one may be found climbing telephone poles naked and then charging the gun weilding cops in a rage of mindless invulnerability. When I first read this I immediately thought this must be the denoument of an extended crank tweek, where extreme paranoia and the hallucinations caused by lack of sleep combine with the hair-trigger violence which is the nature of the amphetamine high, oftentimes masked by gregariousness and affability.
Possession of illegal substances, likely. Possession by demons, hardly.
Sometimes theres no difference.
I reckon there's a demon associated with stimulant drugs, well some esp meth and other amphetamines. We used to call it the speed demon, and refer to it in casual conversation. It was a definite presence, especially at some times. I dunno if it wa an independant entity or a type of a consensual hallucination, some combination of both.
I reckon egregore is probably a better word.
Either way it was a definite thing and it inspired some mad behaviour if you let it. Fight or flight, and full on territoriality, and a sort of self desructive madness.
Some pretty strange things happened too, although that could have been the lack of sleep.
Anyway you look at it tho, the bottom line is that you control reality, not demons, there is free will, whether God exists or not. And if you let yourself be possessed by demons, or you choose to act like you are, either as a sane or insane choice, then you will act like you are.
It is your choice tho. No one else's.
BTW I play for a football team called The Demons. We are gonna win tomorrow.

When you see a speed demon, you better hope its not too late to be somewhere else
Thats why organic sunstances are somewhat better in terms of the entities you meet, or that they carry in them. Most have evolved over quite some time, in combination with more forms of awareness than just human. If they have an egregore, and I reckon they do, its got a better understanding of being part of an environment, seperate and part of a greater whole at the same time.
The same probably holds true for food plants tho it might not seem as obvious to people who have never grown food, and probably the same for medecinals. Their egregores probably don't manifest with the same spectacularity.
And probably many other substances humans have interacted with, silk, metals, even trees, and in some cultures that goes back to the early parts of written language. For example in the correspondance between some runes and some trees.
The more you focus on this aspect of anything the bigger it gets, the more power it gets and the more it has the potential to govern your life.
When some Chaos magicians talk about chronozon (or however its supposed to be spelled, and) they talk about the danger of the ego becoming possessed by its own products, or delusions or whatever.
Each of these interactions comes from the thing itself and the imagination of the person experiencing them, and the less the imagination interferes the harder the thing is to make sense of. If the ego becomes possessed it probably won't function as well, and it has certain roles to play, thats the point of being alive, .... maybe.
If the ego uses the products of its experience as tools to navigate whatever experiences follow, then its got be careful not to trust them too much even tho they work. This is pretty old news tho isn't it?

BRANDON, Man. - A 40-year-old man has been charged with second-degree murder in connection with a gruesome stabbing and decapitation aboard a Greyhound bus in Manitoba Wednesday.

2nd Degree - Not premeditated. I'll go out on a limb and say this is going to be tied up in court for a long time with psych evals, and he'll probably end up with a "reason of insanity" ruling (unable to tell right from wrong, basically) ... which is better than "guilty" because he can be locked up longer (indefinitely), in most instances. He also could be held in the psych hospital long enough on meds to balance out his psychosis so that he can stand trial - but the longer he'd be in the hospital for that the less chance of him being locked up a goodly amount of time afterwards. Though, in this case, it's public enough and dramatic enough that they'll definitely want to "make an example of this", if for no other reason to appease the masses (good political move).
I hate how law/court politics have nothing to do with what's right and really needs to be done.
This is so unfair to the victim's family and those who witnessed it.

Canada has a "dangerous offender" law that permits the courts to keep convicted felons incarcerated indefinitely, even beyond the length of their sentences, if they are found to pose a grave risk to the community. Paul Bernardo's the most notorious example. Dangerous Offenders can appeal their designation every two years.

Considering the reports of his behaviour, that's probably about correct.

God, that is so heartbreaking to read...
He seems like a genuinely warm, caring non judgemental and caring individual. That sort of genuineness and gentle spirit within a male is VERY rare to find with a lot of young guys who have an online presence...what with the usual misanthropy and cynicism. However, given he was I'm assuming a first nation Canadian I can see how he'd be free of the usual North American youth cynicism.
Also, often times the media makes us think that the perpetrator is a
40 something suspect until it turns out they are not...such as the Beltway Snipers. I think even a "little old lady" could have physically did what that guy did...if said little old lady was fueled by what ever was in that man.
