My inclination at this point is to lock it. Other views? It has devolved into little more than name calling.

I'm not sure I see any individual posts that call for locking the thread, but I DO understand your frustration with how it's devolved into a pissing match between four or five posters who seem to be more interested in attacking the credibility of one another than they are in talking about climate change.
I'd publicly warn them to keep the posts issue-based, and threaten a suspension to anyone who strays from that and focuses their attention on the character of other posters.
In other words, tell them to play nice or they'll be taking a time out.

Fuck that thread. It should be re-titled "Ben's epic AGW troll thread", and contained in one place. Right now it seems to be spilling out all over the board as snark is duplicated from thread to thread. It's like an AGW version of Dueling Banjos, with Ben playing all the hillbilly parts.
