You're arguments do not really hold water, no matter how many times you repeat them, and no increases in font size or petty name calling and insults will change that, I'm afraid. This board is still hotly debating the chimera of controlled demolition ten years after 911, and the helicopter issue is, barring some astounding new evidence, analogous in it's indeterminacy with regard to demonstrating some aspect of conspiracy.

Conspiracy theories have been rampant all over the web regarding this story, ever since it turned out the killer was a conservative and a christian. Those theories will quickly codify and point the finger of blame upon the social democratic government of Norway, i.e. the left. It's not a shocking discovery. That it's happening has been obvious since Pam Gellar started uploading facebook screencaps, the new explosive squib.

So address the body of my post, rather than simply pointing your impotent cries of fuck you and "cop apologist" which I've now heard for some forty pages of this thread, voiced with faux earnestness as if that was an actual argument. Interestingly enough (though not really related) I hear the Scientologists set up a crisis centre two blocks from the Oslo blast site, where they're offering "counselling" to Red Cross workers and the passing public. They also offered to help search for bodies on Utoya. Both offers were refused. They'll also be looking to give out free "assists" to victims, no doubt. Vultures, vultures, always circling.

Barracuda, IMO it's not fair to compare the lack of helicopter response to the alleged controlled demolitions, when there's a much more apt comparison- the lack of air defense on 9/11. *Over an hour* goes by. I'm trying to see your perspective on this, truly, but I'm missing it. It's been shown that there were helicopters- seven, it seems. The helicopters were less than thirty miles from the island. The system was already on high-alert, due to the bombing. This is a sophisticated, well-equipped first world country in an age of the "War on Terrorism." I read your post about not really helping people being built into the system, but I'm not buying that; I mean, it's very vague. What happens during all that time? Over a friggin hour. Four kid-saving trips made by tourists, and the media is already there with its helicopter! I've read every post in both threads, and it's unconscionable to me, the incredible delay in response time. But maybe I'm missing something? Or maybe you're missing something, like the CIA's likely infiltration of the Norwegian police, as reported by a Norwegian police station?
I do hope that there's a really good investigation and all these questions get answered, one way or another. What happened exactly, why no helicopter response for over an hour when a psycho or psychos are massacring socialist kids on a nearby island. We have a highly-trained and equipped anti-terrorism task force which was on red alert already- what on god's green earth happened? Is this not a very reasonable question? Well, as MacCruiskeen said in the other thread, it is reasonable, and it's being asked by a lot of Norwegians right now.

As to photos on the island and such-- well, we do have eyewitness testimony that there was more than one shooter. What about that? Even sans photos one would think that eyewitnesses could identify Breivin. And presumably they will. I'm sure Breivin was one of the shooters; that doesn't mean he wasn't "just a patsy."

I have lived for six years in Denmark many years ago and really was impressed with its values and left-wing determination to give all its citizens a life without care over medical expenses and its belief that every citizen should be respected, no matter what his religion or manner of living was.

How times have changed.

My closest friends on earth live in Copenhagen. Over the last 10-15 years I have had to give up discussing politics with them, which we used to do whenever we were together. Now, the venom and irrational anger that spews from them is more than I can take. it always revolves around the Progress Party and "immigrants" (Muslims). They complain bitterly that they "don't integrate" in Danish society, Well, you don't integrate if you expect a true Muslim woman to go drinking in the pubs at night. I am not denigrating in any way a Danish woman's right to go into a pub and drink all night. Just saying that a Muslim woman would not do this. I am just giving this as an example.

I have not asked this couple who they voted for in the last election. I am afraid they would say they voted for the Progress Party candidate. Now, we just don't discuss politics at all.

I have been in Norway on three trips. It is a beautiful country, big with wonderful natural landscapes, forests and all the fjords. Most of the people are smart, left-wing, level-headed, kind, friendly and laid back. I must emphasize, as Dradin did, that there are not many people in Norway, about 4.7 million in total.

The same right turn that has taken place in Denmark has taken place in Norway, which has always been more conservative, in my view , than Denmark.

I can tell you exactly what the growing group of right-wing Danes, Norwegians and Swedes are saying after the attack. That it was a terrible thing to do, but when you think about it carefully, the man has a point.
