Meaning: It seemed to the ancient Egyptians that the young scarab beetles emerged spontaneously from the burrow were they were born. Therefore they were worshipped as "Khepera", which means "he was came forth." This creative aspect of the scarab was associated with the creator god Atum.

The ray-like antenna on the beetle's head and its practice of dung-rolling caused the beetle to also carry solar symbolism. The scarab-beetle god Khepera was believed to push the setting sun along the sky in the same manner as the bettle with his ball of dung. That scarab beetle image is spooky..I remember when the whole "Paul is dead" thing came out. I sorta freaked out a bit. Went off the deep end, no joke. And what's weird is that I never liked Paul. My first Beatle crush was John, then I was in love with George at the time of Paul's "death." Paul was too pretty for me. But after he "died" I believed we were "meant for" each other and he was waiting for me to j"oin him" so "the world will live as one." I came out unscathed eventually. Actually, I willed myself to return to sanity.

Now, I hate Wings and all the "Faul" stands for. Especially for making me go mad for a year or so during my adolescence. What a waste!

Oddly, never found 'them' sexy... being born in 1967, my mind had placed them in the 'comdedian' section of my pleasure receptors: like The Marx Brothers. Every Thanksgiving, my local station showed "Yellow Submarine" and sometimes "Hard Days Night" & "HELP!".... I'm sure I didn't consider them rock stars!
